Wonderfully evocative instrument when played well. It goes back years now but the lament at the service after the 1999 Swiss canyonning tragedy was incredibly moving.

Apart from the outstanding performances, I keep coming back to these ‘Songs Around the World’ for one simple reason. During this difficult time that we all find ourselves in, they emphasise a key message. As long as there is music in the world, there is definite ‘Hope’, provided we all play for change together!
