Just saw the movie a few hours ago, it was awesome. I would like to talk about how the film portrays Shimo (and how much I liked her) but that would go into spoiler territory.

My shimo from this 2 pack is very different, as it has no big blue spots anywhere besides the back spikes. Instead, shimo has a very light blue gradient all over the figure. To me, it looks like a perfect balance between the single release and how most of the 2 pack versions look.

Mine's has that light blue as well, and even though I was expecting her to have this intense blue as shown in the package and this video, I still love her figure.

@@mm39607 Yeah at first I thought the blue was just completely missing until I took a closer look under good lighting, and realized that I actually liked it more this way more, compared to the intense blue.

personally, my shimo from this set is actually missing the dark blue body paint and just has the light blue, and in a way i prefer it over the fully painted version and the basic 6 inch version.

Now that I’ve watched the movie I can safely say that Shimo is my no1 favourite kaiju in the monsterverse along with mothra and surprisingly Suko But can we talk about Skar King (spoiler alert), literally the scariest things about Skar Kong are his absolutely malicious ways of killing and his sense of humour, everytime he smiled I got scared

Surprisingly not too far off from all the blues and such she was repping in the film, makes me wish the Giant & Battle Roar figures of her would’ve just used the same paint applications. But more Shimo, is good Shimo! Glad ya enjoyed the movie Me. Cage! 👍🏻

For some reason my copy of the diorama set Shimo didn’t have the blues she only had a very suttle light blue tint that was hard to notice under regular light and it’s not the only one so I painted mine and I now call this color scheme blue ice ver. And mine I call “dragon color” as I use it for dragon versions

I would like to collect Playmates but over there I saw that it's been a while (according to years) since they released Toho figures, and they dont release them vert often, is that true? I also saw that there is a line called Monster Series by Bandai, do they do scale with the Playmates figures or are they their own thing? anyone else feel that Playmates give Godzilla the shaft? he has the least amount of articulation. nothing in the Elbows, nothing in the Knees.... he can only move his arms and legs up and down, im just saying, his name is first, he should get just as much love. even the little monkey has more to work with.
