Literally got the new spider man 2 game I’ve tried everything and still showing that error other games work fine it’s just spider man 2 I’m annoyed because I was excited to play this game and spent money a lot of money. My PS5 is only three weeks old and I've had this problem since day one. I've installed new updates, reinstalled the games (several times), factory reset, rebuilt databases, internet connection from WiFi to LAN (bought expensive LAN cable). Nothing worked. On Friday I sent the console to Sony. I will keep you up to date.

I found the solution to this problem, format your ps5 and After installation, first turn off syncing game save data. - settings -saved data and game/application settings -sync saved data -disable automatically sync saved data

If the steps doesn’t work that means you have a defected ps5. Gotta mail it to them if your warranty is still active. I believe if it’s within 1 year they will replace it for u

Guys I'm on my 4th model now, I feel like gamestop thinks I'm scamming them, I had an og model I bought and it kept crashing , one day while playing spiderman 2 ( Riker island cutscene ) my ps5 froze, shut its self down and said it wasn't ahit off properly, I traded it in for the slim bundle gamestop had at the time, it did the same thing, I got my 2nd slim and again..... it's so frustrating so I took my 2nd slim and got a digital slim with an attachable disc drive, 1 month in and fortnite and again spiderman2 had crashed on me. I'm lost.... idk what to do anymore

heres the thing, i dont believe its a defected ps5 because this happened as soon as the game updated. and its only on 1 game, on dirt 5 and a lot of people are experiencing this on EA games. Others say its the HDMI cable or the video output settings etc this is not console related issues. the other games work fine... so it seems like a software issue. I believe the game developers are at fault here. for just one game i gotta ship and replace my console? it just sounds soo crazy and what if something similar happens on the new one? are we gonna have to keep playing around with this stuff? if thats the case im going to switch to Xbox

Cause they are having issues with the early models that made game crash on certain video settings. These were the steps given when you called the playstation customer service. But when none of the steps work they will tell you to just ship it back to them and they send you new one.

This is the error I got with madden 21. Then I couldn’t load my franchise anymore, as the error corrupted my save files. Happened to me twice and I had to start all over again both times. I did all the work arounds and I couldn’t get my save files back. No matter what I did, I was so pissed and still am.

It basically factory resets the PlayStation and it will reinstall the system software

basically it deletes everything on your ps5 and reinstall the basic softwares that were on your PS5 when you bought it. to keep it simple it basically like starting all over again when you first turned on your ps5

I bought my ps5 from antonline and they honored the manufacturer warranty

If none of the fixes work contact sony and they will send you a brown box for you to ship out your ps5. I put their number in this video just tell them you tried these work around and still didnt work. They will tell you how to ship out your ps5 to them. Unfortunately there are a few defected PS5 out there. I had to ship mine out cause none of these fixes worked for me.
