I'm probably never gonna mod my factory plates, but if I buy some aftermarket ones this is definitely one of the top ideas! I'm not really a fan of putting stickers on the lights (I usually find it tacky lookin) but paired with the colored og logo on black it looks pretty good.

Did you spray a couple of coatings on the front side of the plate and let them dry for a couple hours before flipping them over to apply the backside layers?

I sprayed about 5 coats on the outside and let them completely dry (about 1-2 hours). Then I sprayed the inside and let it dry.

@@LegendOfAzn you're welcome! I initially used plastidip, but took it off immediately. Why? Once it was dry, I put on the mount to hold up the PS5. But when removing the mount, it removed some of the plastidip. It was an eye sore seeing chips of white where the PS5 stand had scratched off some of the plastidip. When that happened, I decided right then and there to go all in and use the paint in this video. It was a great decision. Also, the plastidip was a pain to remove from the inside corner areas. My advice would be to go all in and use the paint in this video.

When you painted the inside of the plates did you mask the tabs off with tape or anything? Or did you just paint all of it without masking? Looks great!!

@@LameduckArmyOF1 I got it from Walmart. It was $2.96. The can of paint was $3.96. I spent less than $8 and didn't have to wait. Plus it looks as if it came from Sony. I definitely saved myself some money and time.
