As I'm np longer an Xbox player and have ordered the ps5 now, I can tell you the Xbox UI was HORRENDOUS compared to Playstation, Playstation 4 was still very snappy and fast compared to shitty xbox

I'm so happy you can turn off HDR completely! My monitor supports HDR, but you can't turn it off in the monitor settings and it just makes the picture quality so much worse, it's way too dark and the colors are a mess. Bought a Fire Stick 4k just to be able to watch Prime video/Disney+ UHD content (not possible in Windows 10), but you can't turn off HDR in the fire stick settings either, so I'm still stuck with 1080p, since UHD makes the content look way worse (all prime/Disney content automatically uses HDR when watching UHD content unfortunately...).

Hey dude, really glad you’ve posted this video. The UI looks awesome I can’t wait to use it! You describe the controller icon appearing over the clock as a visual bug when ‘technically’ it’s a controller battery notification and is not there continuously. This is backed up by the Spider-Man update that appears right across the top right section of the screen and obscures everything temporarily. 🤗🙏🏻☺️😉 I’m a UI designer by trade so I can assure you this type of behaviour would be really low down on a fix/redesign list. Regardless I would say a notification for a full battery is unnecessary tbh. For example my MacBook doesn’t tell me when the battery is fully charged it tells me when I have like 5% remaining. 🤣

I promised myself to watch this channel ONLY for ANYTHING PlayStation related when I first for my PS3 back in 2014. I kept that promise. Tons of videos regarding the PS5 came out during this week yet I didn’t watch any single one of them - not even MKBHD’s. I was waiting on you to make a video from it. I didn’t even care if it takes months. You’re the most trustworthy guy when it comes to all things PlayStation, and we’ll stick by that. I kinda wish Sony shipped their consoles directly to my country instead of us having to order it from another region. I don’t think I’d be getting a PS5 in the next few months due to how hard it is it order stuff overseas. Finger-crossed I get the PS5 before 2022 tho. Anyways, as always, loved the video!!! 18:30 HDMI Device Link aka HDMI-CEC allows you to use your TV remote to control the screen. It's great for controlling your media with your regular TV remote. Been doing it since the PS3 Slim days.

18:35 at least on PS4 it’s the other way around, your tv turns on when you boot up the console and lets you control the UI and certain apps such as KZbin and Netflix with your tv remote, which is super comfortable. Definitely my favorite feature.

That's a setting on the tv. So the ps5 will still do that if the tv supports that specific setting. It's just the other way around. It's better for your tv to turn on whenever you turn on your console rather than the other way around

As a lifetime xbox user, this is what I’ve always wanted a console to function like. it was extremely underwhelming to me to not see a big change in the xbox series x user interface, because there were so many little things that needed major refinement and were not even changed in the slightest. Some say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” As of xbox, they seriously need to fix it. As of PlayStation, they definitely refined it significantly better than PS4’s UI.

For me it is a bummer, I have many games which I installed once form a disk and sold later, about 30% titles in my library are like that. I hope that in the future thay will allow to delete games installed from disks.

I haven’t played the game fr since ps3 and the ps4 which I only played once so this helps a lot because the reason I never played online with ps4 is because the party chat and adding friends etc was confusing so I love vids like this hopefully this year is different 👍🏾

consider being a ps3 slim/superslim, you can find one in ebay for less than 100$ and if your tv has good upscaling capabilities its a hell of an experience. I'm still vibing with my ps3 slim from 2011

I should have had my PS5 yesterday, but Best Buy shipped it with Canada Post, the s***ty government courier who are always slow as hell with lazy deliverymen who don't even try to make deliveries 75% of the time. According to their website my PS5 is sitting in a Canada Post depot 4 hours away and will be until next week.

Damn that sucks. Enjoy when you get it. I had a PS5 basically bought at Target on Launch Day after midnight hours and refreshing accidentally to change my last name that was incorrect, costed me a PS5. Would have had it for pickup at my local Target by my house which there's a mall there. Almost had it at PS Direct during those hours too but I checked too late. A lot of people got their PS5's there. It's smoother.
