The tech lab in this game is the Royal Tech Lab, which no longer exists at the time of BOTW. You can find the ruins of it though, west of Hyrule Castle, just north of the Breach of Demise

I can not wait to see your reactions to the cutscenes of this game. The voice actors did really well and really gave it their best. And honestly, to have Nintendo give all this effort with the animations, storytelling and voice acting for it to not be canon is just a disservice. And dont worry much about the gameplay, the game teaches you well enough, just dont forget to use a specific rune when the rune icon appears over an enemy.

Impa is a literal god in this game, if you just do zr three times to summon three symbols and then the YYYX combo you can get max clones all the time which turns her into a beast

My whole party was very underleveled for that one timed Molduga mission. I was only able to beat it with Impa and her shadow clones and she was the weakest member in my party at the time. She is definitely OP if you know how to use.

Here's a quick geography check, because the maps, journeys and battle setups are probably the best part of the game in terms of accuracy. The "ancient tech lab" that Link, Zelda and Impa were visiting to talk to Robbie and Purah was in northern Hyrule Ridge, overlooking the Castle from the west; it was completely leveled in the BotW Calamity, and you can find it in Breath of the Wild as the "Royal Ancient Lab Ruins," basically a stone pavilion with a few tiny remnants of the walls. (One of the narration sections mentions Hateno, which is definitely incorrect, and I don't think that lab even existed yet.) The thing is that in order to travel along the roads from the Castle to the Lab, you needed to go around to the south, over the Carok Bridge, and up through the Maw of Demise, the area in which the level takes place. You can't avoid it without going much farther south, or waaay around to the north in a big circle, because of the great elevation of the ridge; the Maw slopes gradually up until you exit into the fields of the Ridge area and turn northward. However, it's an enclosed area without an easy escape, which makes it a great spot to be ambushed by a Guardian, and working your way around to the upper ledges and attacking from there, as you do in the level, is the best way to overcome such an ambush. It seems like the area was pretty heavily fortified pre-Calamity, to protect against enemies approaching the Castle from that direction, but that's almost entirely gone 100 years later, due to wood rotting and enemies being attracted to the area as an ambush point for travelers. The whole thing is a genius use of geographical features and tactics. (I don't know the Zora's Domain level map well enough to be able to compare it to Breath of the Wild very easily, but the southern entrance walkway bottleneck was certainly accurate.)

Lol I was like you and couldn’t wait to try urbosa and she didn’t disappoint. The only advice I’ll give you for now is take the time to experiment with each character combos ( Y,X combo 1 ... Y, Y, X combo 2 etc ). They all do something different and some are badass. It’s easy in a game like this to mash but it’s much more fun to experiment and do different attacks to find what you like! Amazing game! Really nice to watch your reactions! We have a new Zelda fan! A tip for you, you should watch enemies attacks, they sometimes can be countered with specific runes. Like when they will run to you with a spear, you can use crionisis so they hit the ice block and then their attack gauge will show up.

Tips: don't hold zl all the time because it messes up your combos. Clicking the left stick zooms in the map. Instead of just pressing x in the middle of a combo, hold it. This will add an extra attack at the end of the combo. Croton is a Zelda KZbinr who made a guide on weapon fusion which I HIGHLY recommend!

Some advice you haven't noticed with Link when he's using sword and shield. One, he is one of three characters in the game with a shield that can deflect Guardian lasers. Two, all of his Heavy Attack combos you can charge up to add new moves to the attack when using sword and shield. Three, Link's bow and arrow can deal significant damage by hitting weak points like headshots, and if you use them while in mid-air you get the same Breath of the Wild effect by slowing down time while you aim.

Recap of what you've seen so far in this stream. The diminutive guardian (egg boi) has traveled through time along with malice. Link finds the guardian in hyrule field in the first battle. Zelda takes it to the lab to find out what it is. Purah and robbie find out it is from the future and find some pictures of the result of the calamity. Now Zelda, Impa, and Link go find the pilots for the divine beasts. While the malice had traveled to this new timelines guardian. Now the evil guardian (deviled egg) watches over..

Normal is good for the power trip, but if you want to Calamity to feel like a genuine threat you should play Hard. I played on Hard on my first playthrough and did not regret it.

I went on Very Hard for the whole story, plus the post game up to a certain point. It was VERY hard to do, but it was so satisfying to do it. Now that I turned it down to Normal, it's like night and day, and after all I've been though? I don't mind it one bit XD

I do argue that he's a gamer so he'd catch on fast, plus he said he's planning to learn the combat off camera, and I've found you don't really need to know the combat to play Normal. I feel like Hard is the best middle ground. Very Hard was almost too hard in certain areas, while Normal makes the game feel far too easy until much later content in the game. Like after you unlock the last unlockable character. I feel like Hard would be a nice middle ground, and since you can change it to a different difficulty whenever you want to, he could make it easier if Hard gets to be too much, you know?

@Crimson Xero There is no plausible explanation for the time travel shenanigans. Or if there is, it's not the one they provide. I'm not saying that time travel is implausible in this setting, it's just that the way they did it is extremely inconsistent and caused a lot of plot holes.

@@fearlessdevil17 Yeah I'm surprised by how many people think it sounds like this or that. Most of the time it's easy for me to accept other people's opinions, but it's harder with music because I have a good ear and I'm a little too proud of my musical knowledge and ability. Like, I hear a very clear descending fifth at the beginning of the Song of Time, and none of the tones the Guardian made right then were quite that far apart in pitch. I have to remind myself that it doesn't matter that much and it's more important to be civil and let people believe what they like. (Although come to think of it, the four-note motif from the Age of Calamity main theme does sound very similar to one of the note sequences in the _middle_ of the Song of Time, so maybe that's where they got it before that. With so few notes, it could easily be a coincidence.)

This is such a joyful reaction!! Your seeing each new character is brilliant! And don't worry about people telling you what to do, you're doing great..and you'll soon learn how to do things efficiently when it becomes necessary 😂 time limits are satan. I will say though, elemental advantage becomes very helpful. Ice good vs fire and vice versa! And the rune suggestion symbols on enemies are worth paying attention to. But hey you'll get there. Such a fun game! Can't wait for your next stream of this! I'm so excited for the expansion for this game I've fully 100%-ed what there is so far hahaha NEED MOAAAR

can we just take a moment to appreciate the music in this game? all the champion themes are the same as those in BoTW but on steroids. I got emotional in BoTW listening to Mipha's theme but in AOC the arrangement of the same theme had me bopping my head. Can't wait until we get to RAVIOLI'S music.

Kinda disappointed that this is a prequel to "a different" timeline of Breath Of The Wild. Though despite that (and its technical limitations), I still enjoyed the game and its story cutscenes quite immensely. I hope Nintendo finds a way to tie this game's story to some degree in BOTW 2 and not just let it be a standalone thing that stays in the Hyrule Warriors bubble.

They're not gonna. This game is straight-up non-canon and doesn't exist in the real Zelda franchise. So in regards to BotW2 it might as well not exist at all. They might make a Easter-Egg or something, but in regards to the story it will have exactly 0,000000% impact on the story of BotW2 because it's uncanon and doesn't exist in real Zelda. Even if it's a fun game.

You can make the stages in the game longer and more “explorable” by focussing on korok seeds, Easter eggs, etc. For example your play through of Hyrule Field at the beginning you could have found Lon Lon Ranch before it was destroyed and areas such as that. Just ideas to help make the gameplay more “you” while streaming 😊

Just finished this game yesterday! I don't know how, but your timing is impeccable Dee Bee. And be wary of spoilers if you're avoiding them since all I'll say is that game's story is pretty hit or miss with fans of the original BOTW. But this game is still incredible nonetheless so have fun with it! :)

Yeah, those are the reasons why I didn't purchase this game. I would love to know the story through gameplays but I just don't see myself playing this game.
