I honestly love how y'all play competitive but also discuss lines to prevent someone from winning in the game. Helps viewers learn, and it's cool to see cedh table-talk/politics
@ChristopherZAR2 жыл бұрын
Yesss, this is how EDH should always be played, so much more fun to play against people playing their best game and not win through stumbles and brainfarts
@JustforKikX2 жыл бұрын
My favourite cEDH channel. You explain lines, don't get salty, and help newer players to the format like myself. Stoked to see Godo. Just finished my first cEDH deck (G/W Selvala) and looking at him next potentially. Great games guys. :)
@tystone10952 жыл бұрын
I took the budget list for Godo from PWP. I can consistently win turn three or four with no interaction. But I also have turn 1 wind in the deck.

If anyone's keeping score, Tyler needs to get the W for that second game. Read the whole game perfectly. Excellent set of games, love seeing the guests and hearing about the games we don't see. Intermission was a blast.

I know a lot of people have said it already but the mixture between playing competitively but still talking about different play lines and which might of been better and everyone having good craic at the same time make this channel so great!

@CharlotteMimic2 жыл бұрын
I think Dylan is right about Trinisphere! In formats like Legacy, people can get stuck under the sphere for a long time while you kill them with something like Karn or Goblin Rabblemaster. But in EDH, players are far better at making land drops and casting mana rocks, so Trinisphere feels a lot like more like Tanglewire

in game two, cameron couldn't threaten to use ranger captain's ability in response to Codie's activation because codie's ability is considered a mana ability and can't be responded to.
@colinfowler30212 жыл бұрын
Even if true, it could be done in response to the 0 CMC spell, or any number of other locations along the line, preventing the rest of the line.
@ChristopherZAR2 жыл бұрын
@@colinfowler3021 That would then still mean an Ad Naus in hand, so Torn Part makes a valid point
@colinfowler30212 жыл бұрын
@@ChristopherZAR the line goes to Bring to Light after the 0 CMC spell. Put that on the stack and activate the dude. Also, "In hand" is not winning now. Two players threatened wins on their respective next turns. Fat load of good Ad Naus does rotting in hand...
@ChristopherZAR2 жыл бұрын
@@colinfowler3021 Still, why not just do it in response to the 1 cmc spell and prevent the tutor? Just realised you could do that, because Codie still requires the 0 cmc spell to be cast, it's not just put on the stack
@ChristopherZAR2 жыл бұрын
This made me look up whether you could use codie's ability "while casting the spell" and still get the trigger on that spell and apparently yes. Which is interesting but does not matter to our discussion at all, haha

I enjoy how wild the "Begin!" has evolved. Something I've enjoyed from another channel called How Ridiculous is how they incorporate their fan base into their slogans. They say "We'll pin ya!" and use a submitted clip and pin a comment that meets the criterion. I think it would be cool to see other cedh community members chime in with their version of "Begin!" as a way to further include the community in your content! Just a suggestion, but still enjoying your content!
