One day I would love to do a mini-internship with you. I’m a 52 year old teacher who is hoping to switch out in 4.5 years. I love antiques… spent much of my youth in retail and a common element seems to be observational skills and committing stock to memory… eg. Shoe sizes, shirt sizes, personality - right customer for right product (frankly, I think it is that way around). I appreciate all of the values that you mention here… teaching is a bit counter to my personality (dictatorial rather than service).
