My understanding based on Korean media is that Warner Music Korea (subsidiary of Warner Music Group) offered to buyout FiftyFifty. But the offer was only discussed with the representative of TheGivers, the company contracted by Attrakt to outsource producing and directing of FiftyFifty. That offer was not communicated to Attrakt and instead TheGivers talked the girls into abandoning their contracts with Attrakt. Until the court cases are decided, we can't be too sure of anything. But it would be a shame if people sided with the former members and boycotted the new FiftyFifty based on alleged victimhood of the former members when the facts presently known widely support the case that Attrakt is the victim of artist poaching instead.

That was such a well thought out argument you made and I fully agree. Especially that last part. We don't know the full story, we don't know who ultimately is in the wrong but I still feel more comfortable supporting alleged victims of mistreatment. If I'm wrong about them that sucks but the company will survive but if they are telling the truth they really need our support and I wouldn't want to make their situation worse. It's almost always the "safe" option to support the victim, especially when the power balance is tipped against them. But like you said, it's also important to keep yourself informed. Making baseless accusations doesn't help. It sucks that the new members are facing backlash. I don't support their decision but they aren't the person to get angry with. Boycotting seems like the best option for now. Sending hate to a bunch of young women (the old or the new members depending on your stance) very much isn't the answer, they're dealing with enough already. And in case the debut ends up successful I at the very least hope the company learned from their mistakes and treats the new girls better

It's exactly as you said. No evidence was brought, although actually through Korean news I did hear that Attrakt was the only party providing evidence for their innocence and thus the court case ruled that way. What I personally find weird is that people make it a girls vs Attrakt ceo thing when the real issue here was that producer that encouraged teen girls to portray their company and has a proven history of doing this to other companies. For now I think the CEO/Attrakt being in the clear, that the girls yet have to provide at least SOME proof of their claims and.. to hell with that producer that as the only proper adult between him and some teen girls made this into a huge issue. I do not side with the boycott so far personally, because there's way too many twitter accounts straight up spreading misinformation due to bias. I don't mind a boycott, but there needs to be fair reporting and not only hearsay things tossed around as 'facts'.

Part of the problem with knowing what happened with Fifty Fifty, is that Ahn Sung Il, an important person in this mess, has significant issues calling into question his credibility (and thus the 3 girls who had their contracts terminated). This was an important factor that influenced the Korean public. It's not as simple as the public blindly accepted what the courts said and only international fans are capable of discerning the culprit. Perhaps look into more than a boycott site for your information.

They took the offer only because of age and nothing else about condoning a specific behavior as the public are saying. I doubt every young idol who wanted to debut in a Kpop group thought about politics. Kpop want younger idols so as older trainees they feel pressured to land into whatever company who wants them. I'm sure the trainees are glad to get accepted into a debuting group. Debuting is the hard part and changing how the public feels about them is easier through showcasing their hard work. For a lot of trainees this is their ride or die, giving up friends, education, time and you're telling them to postpone and debut in another group as if their feelings don't matter, as if they have backup plans and other companies offering to debut them. Every company has politics so no one should debut?

your point about chanelle's debut prospects in big 4 are something i've been saying so much ever since it was rumored she went to attrakt. her age and ethnicity are already factors that make it hard for her to debut, but the idea that she has "so many offers" and "all these options" after RUNEXT just because she was popular among *international* fans always seemed incredibly misinformed to me. like, where is the EVIDENCE that she has all these love calls? if she had an opportunity to debut at a bigger company she would've taken it! furthermore, i feel like people underestimate how important it is to debut at this point in her life. i wasn't following RUNEXT so i don't know if they covered her backstory in that show. but to be in her 20s and still a trainee means that she very may well have skipped college entrance exams, or even dropped out of high school/neglected her studies to dedicate her time to training in hopes of debut. while this isn't explicitly a death sentence for a traditional career in south korea, it DOES make it very difficult for her to pivot outside of kpop unless she has literally ran out of all options. she probably dedicated her entire youth to being a trainee, and i can't fully fault her for taking an opportunity at this time in her life. had she not, she may have had to return to korea's education system and competitive job market, where she could already be many steps behind her peers in the same age group, and struggle to find any job. of course, i could be wrong in this theory too, but i honestly think it's more likely than her having all these options of agencies in love with her and waiting to debut her. i also agree that chanelle is held to a higher standard for being fluent in english, i see this alot with yunjin from lsrfm too. but both of those girls are absolutely korean and engaged in korean society ... chanelle is probably checking korean social media and news networks and unfortunately her opinion is probably shared with that of the korean general public regarding attrakt i also agree that we really don't know the full story, which is why overall im neutral on pretty much all parties involved in this situation. everything has been obfuscated by probable NDAs, legalese, and concealed information. personally, i don't think the original 4 of fifi are to blame regardless. i think they were manipulated by the givers for sure and likely attrakt too, with pressure from both sides to sue the other. it sounded like they weren't very well informed about anything and that their parents were involved which may have led to more pressure to make decisions they didn't understand. for that reason, im fine to support 3jeong redebut, and also the relaunch of fifi with a new lineup. i genuinely hope they're all successful, and that attrakt will just drop all lawsuits and let everyone move on in peace. the new fifi seems set for success checking the comments on their youtube teasers. they definitely have the support of the korean general public, and i predict international fans will be soon to follow if the song is good lol

fifty fifty was made by two companies, ATTRAKT and THE GIVERS the givers tried to sell members to another company. 5050 members sued attrakt, saying their health was neglected. all four members had very serious health issues. claimed attrakt didn't allow aran to get surgery. attrakt revealed that the surgery did happen. they gave all the members 2 months to rest (at their peak) the givers ceo forged signatures to make keena (a 5050 member who has writing credits on the song cupid) have less royalties on the song. and he also forged the signatures of the original writers, transferring the rights to him. keena didn't continue her lawsuit against attrakt after this the givers ceo also embezzled funds and lied about their work experience. the givers ceo (Ahn Sung Il) was brainwashing them against attrakt and blamed ATTRAKT for the abuse when it was The givers managing fifty fifty, if you believe in that "fightforfifi" account sorry you are dumb, i hope no one mislead you!

@@SpudhutCXrep Attrakt's side lawyers brought up receipts against the claim that they were mistreating or neglecting the girls - he had used his personal funds to create fifty fifty, got them a luxury dorm and singing dancing acting classes, which is arguably more support than any small company gives to their artists. Plus Dispatch revealed text messages of Attrakt's CEO being generally worried for the wellbeing of the girls. There is no evidence of Attrakt being "not innocent", there is no provided evidence of "abuse". I don't think any company would be "happy to ignore" how their artists are being mismanaged by the co-label, and were about to abandon ship for another label when you have invested literally everything you have in them. Maybe you should be putting the blame on Chanelle. She was the one who had a poor attitude. That’s probably why the judges didn’t pick her to debut. Just bc you didn’t like the results of the show, doesn’t make it rigged. It was fan voted and partially decided by judges. If it was rigged, they would present as fully fan voted and then manipulate the votes. Just look at the Mnet Produce scandal. Look up what “rigged” means before you try to use it.

Chanelle was in the top 6 due to fan voting, but the producers wanted her out so the judges gave her the lowest possible score of all 12 contestants to bring her down to the elimination range. The definition of rigged is “manage or conduct (something) fraudulently so as to produce a result or situation that is advantageous to a particular person” that “particular person” being the company. Every survival show is rigged in some way. “Evil editing” is just the producers encouraging an audience to distrust a contestant that they don’t want debuting. Also the show not explicitly stating how the lineup would be decided until day of, was just them seeing if the company picks made the fan vote, and because not all of them did, they applied the 2 fan vote, 4 company pick lineup.

I don't want to say this & people assume I support a certain side the truth is I'm extremely conflicted & I don't know how I feel about all of this I haven't since Keena return to the company which really confused me cuz before I was %1000 with the members & didn't even want to know anything the company had to say before then even without fully researching (since then I have & it just furthers my spot in limbo & me not knowing what to do) the boycott thing is I see it if I boycott one company for something I probably should also be boycotting the entire industry for doing the same type of shit if not worse (especially talking about the big 4!) thats not me solidifying support for Attrakt cuz hell no if you wanna boycott, it's your life no one can tell you what to do, this is just me putting more thought into me boycotting & calling myself out for possibly being hypocritical for not taking shit from this company period & boycotting then but I can still support these groups from these companies which we all know of the track records there I was a big Chanelle fan during R U Next I do think she got screwed out of debuting in ILLIT (same with Bang Jeemin whos now debuting in izna) I'm happy she gets to debut however I don't know if I can follow her into the next chapter I wish her, Keena, the other new FiftyFifty members & the other three original members, Seana, Sio & Aran health, happiness & success in their lives I know I said it a lot I just don't know where to go from here & I'm still figuring that out for myself.

I personally think Keena just went back for her own sake. I think she was just scared of being blacklisted from kpop and it certainly seemed like ATTRAKT was trying to manipulate and blackmail the members into returning, and it actually worked on Keena.

Its funny how all these non korean speaking fans critisize the company and the new members. Courts ruling is not what actually happened? Are you kidding me? The track record of korean courts decision was always with the artists, do some research. It was already proven, they left due to greed and not mistreatment. 1 of the three went back and demanded a outrageous contract, attrak turned it down. Its really sickening, how all of you are cheering for backstabbers. Oh and its just little over 9 million dollars not 99.99 million dollars. Kinda concerned if you were paid to make this video, since they signed with another company.. anywho, more research before making vids.

Nobody cheers for backstabbers because the girls were not backstabbers. The court never said the girls were lying btw.

Get ready to b disappointed then, they aren’t going to treat these girls right, they’re headed for another scandal in the future, why do I think that? They kept the name fifty fifty jus for publicity knowing it was going to cause bullying & directly attach them to a scandal, they weren’t even willing to protect these girls b4 debut
