Ive been using tables that have been too short for the longest time and and workbench this size and how sturdy it is would cost me $1000's but today im gonna teach you how to make one for pennies on the dollar and you can make it custom to your liking! Menards has a huge selection of these. I did the same thing. They have short like you cut down to and long. Plus long and short runners too.

Great idea for sure using stackable pallet shelves as a workbench! Gonna give it a try as it definitely beats the cost of a premade one.

I actually made that same type of bench for a welding table. I used 3/8” diamond plate aluminum as my top. She’s a beast

Check your local big box store... we are always getting rid of crappy beams and ones that are slightly damaged.... they get tossed down the dumpster....

Your going to need to get more of the orange beams for the bottom of the workbench or when you put some weight on it, the legs will kick out on you

Actually the connection between the steel beams and the pallet rack uprights is quite ridged. I was more worried about the lack of crossbar at the top of the uprights. I wrongly assumed the bench top was going tie the legs across. I’d screw the end boards of the deck to the beams

I rolled white floor epoxy over my osb sheeting in my shop and turned out great you can get the walls wet and dont have to worry about it , might consider that over drywall on the inside

So pallet racking is notorious for having shit welds on the braces. Seen cracked welds on shelves that weren’t holding anything near the capacity. Look at a new brace(orange part where flange meets tube) welds are always shit and normally only on two planes, barely. Use it, just knock the welds down and weld over them. You don’t want to put potentially 1k lbs on your table then start hitting it with a sledge and lose your feet. Make it safe.
