Today we visit Bradford Waste Traders, Newgate Works, Bowling Back Ln, Bradford BD4 8SJ.
I have to say, what an amazing company it is, The staff were very friendly and the owner didn't mind me having a look around the site. He was even okay with me flying the Dread Drone over the site.
They had some amazing heavy plant at the site, and it all looked like it was either very well looked after, or very new.

You might want to see this place again in the feature film *The Selfish Giant* (2013), as the scrapyard of the giant named Kitten played by *Sean Gilder.* I'm pretty sure it was used in another independent feature film too (although it might be a short film I'm thinking of), also from the last 10 years which I can't remember, although I'll find out eventually when I get around to updating whatever film it is on *IMDB.*

Back in the days, it was common to see piles of scraped cars, and you had free range to climb on them searching parts you needed for repairs. Remove the part yourself, go to the office and they'd give a price. Looks like these days, everything is shredded and not for resale or that kind of recycling. All shut down by the health and safety jobsworths.

Awesome folk at Bradford Waste Traders, a "coal" site on a "Mission" to recycle materials and the made PJ feel at "home" while videoing. Fantastic virtual tour. 🏆⭐⭐⭐👍 The green machine first shows in 2022 street views and nod on the aerial. Previously was also a large white machine with 4 section boom. At 16:10 top center, is the only remaining portion of worker houses dating to the early-mid 1800s. The offices in the corner was Birks Hall Colliery which covered most of the recycling yard property. Some houses along Back Lane and now part of the grass strip and fence. By 1890s, the colliery was replaced with addition housing and included Mission Church (area of office parking and large tree at the street). By early 1900s the street name was changed to Bowling Back Lane. Across the street from the main gate was Bowling House (visible on street views till demolition in early 2023) and behind that to the south was Bowling Iron Works c. 1780 with great detail of buildings, rails and reservoir on the 1852 and 1891 OS maps.
