Dead Zed Or 4. people like me who despise the direction more standard decks took ever since synchro got introduced, and now with xyz and pendulum it is just worse to deal with. I felt I could play so many different weird things well before synchro, but now you either play a deck like chain burn/exodia or you need to play with synchro/xyz/pendulum. Before synchro stuff like volcanic relinquished deck or rescue cat OTK was fun out of the blue decks that could give the usual cookie cutter lightsworn/gladiator/control decks trouble, but the new function of synchro/xyz/pendulum are so strong that unless you also run it you are left with very few options as opposed to before. So in this era of yugioh I will play my exodia, chain burn, reversal quiz, final countdown and mill decks to show my hate for all synchro, xyz and pendulum players.

I don't understand your logic. He builds a burn deck that works, then tells people not to build a burn deck that doesn't work. exodus, burn and final countdown are all decks I mess around with. in fact, for a while, the deck with the most wins that i randomly made one day for unlimited format is an exodia deck. it is fun to play sometimes unless you're going up against yata-garasu, which is a card for trolls who can't get out of their mom's basement long enough to learn a sense of decency. however, my best decks recently have been chaos decks. in fact, my irl deck is a dm/chaos/XYZ combo deck. for a larger deck, it is actually fairly consistent. I've won matches with it before in the rated section and I beat a friend using red-eyes with it. in fact, it's on the deck workshop on the forums posted by my account, Jack the Awesome. I also beat heroes with it If I remember correctly. now, that being said, I need to trim it to 40 instead of 51 or 52.

The point is that to a lot of players it's not just about having fun, it's also about winning. Not having 1000 bucks to spend on a meta deck usually means you have no chance of winning an event unless you build burn/exodia.

Guys, if you want a good exodia build, take a consistent exodia deck, draw through it like there is no tomorrow, make sure you discard everything, then (if youre playing traditional, include makurya) set exchange of the spirit, next turn activate. repeat 7 times, then (if you run upstart at three, opponent would be at 29k. Life equalizer. Blasting the ruins. Lol don't even need exodia.

First of all I never said that it doesn't take skill as some of them do though a good number don't. Secondly I don't really mind duels that are 20 to 30 turns but I have been in a duel where it has even gotten anywhere from 40 to even once a hundred turns but that was because of the type of deck I was using at the time. Thirdly you don't need to explain this to me as I have used these decks in the past as I try to use all kinds of decks at least once. But this did bring up a good point in that it forces people to use cards differently and try to get out of the lock but as I have said before I have used similar decks that have a similar build but not going on for a stupid number of turns is when I have the problem though many people do this to be a troll and thats fine. I simply do not wish to play against them as it gets boring and rather duel someone else but to clear something up I do not want these decks banned as not all exodia/ final count down decks are meant to troll it simply gets annoying to me as I only play a little now and again and am only looking for a fun duel and in to me they are not fun. sorry for the rant.

I'm trying to run an Exodius/Duston deck. Yes, Exodia is in it, but it's mostly just there for when I'm attacking with Exodius. A bunch of the people commenting seem to forget the game is about having fun. Do I still suck if my deck isn't focused on getting Exodia into my hand? I find Exodius and Exodia fun to play. Exodia/Dragon Deck? could work with a heavy summon/draw tactic and using your grave as a second deck. Most exodia pieces are normal cards meaning you could summon them back easy from the grave.

Actually the structured deck still has some decent Non Darkworlds Fiends to keep running in the deck imo like Belial, Tragoedia, Mind Crush and Card Guard and for me it's fun to run other fiends also like Necrophear & Raviel so i only had to get cards like Trance, Skill Drain and more Darkworld deals & replace some cards in there with another Snow, Beige and Grapha... but i admit 2-3 of those will make it a lot faster though

I personally feel the same. However I am absolutely offended by a Blue-Eyes Exodia deck even existing. That is nothing short of an insult to the Blue-Eyes itself. I hate those with a passion, at least I got poetic justice once. Utterly totally trolled a Blue-Eyes Exodia player with a Blue-Eyes Synchro Deck, so satisfying after being so offended. That Duel made Mirage Dragon one of my all time favorite cards.

Trebz ED I can build a good deck. It's kind of my talent in fact, my pure Monarch Lock and Beat Down deck is a prime example. I hate Exodia because: It's cheap, boring to play, and just as boring to play against, and frankly just really damn annoying. Then again, I kinda have a thing against ALL instant win condition cards, you would never see a single one in my deck, or strategy around one. In fact I kind want to say the reverse of your statement is true at times: Exodia Draw engines (the vast 99% of Exodia decks) are the most Copy Paste things I have ever seen, in short: VERY unoriginal and seeing one makes me start questioning the skill level of the opponent, as they rely on a win condition. Once again my opinion but, I kinda had to go there after seeing that statement I feel, sorry.

Sure, they can play any deck they prefer, but I also have the option to play against any deck I prefer. If I have the choice, I will opt out of any duel vs Burn/Exodia/Empty jar. If I'm just playing a friendly or "fun" match I will turn down any game vs those decks, simply because they are rage inducing and not fun to play against. Tournament match is a different story.

I had faced the same opponent. It was just lame and not fun at all. The guy just stopped attacks and drawing cards. I realized that after a while when I noticed the tactics. Then again, Pendulum Decks and some other decks weren't any fun either because the guys took so long to do something.

What I said seems to be grossly taken out of context. I play for fun but primarily to win. Unfortunately, Konami has set up the game so that whoever wants to spend the most amount of money on whatever they say is the "best deck" shall top. Secondly, because of this fact, I haven't played IRL in literally years competitively. I've devised an anti-meta build that I like that's "fun", since the meta is expensive and even if it weren't it's annoying (happy everyone that neg voted me?).

That's just one example, and even buying 2-3 decks + support cards isn't really that much. Or you know, you could always come up with something original, I've made a couple of decks myself that are in the range of $40-$60, that are by no means tier 1 decks, but play pretty well. And well, I'm not sure what it's like where you live, but minimum wage here is 10$/hr, meaning 1 day of work can make these decks.

Exodia and burn wouldn't be annoying if it lost every game. If I played Heart of the Underdog Exodia and lost 80% of the games I played people wouldn't think of my Exodia deck as annoying and would more or less enjoy playing against me so they could win easily. Any deck that wins a lot makes your opponent hate you and rarely will your opponent show any respect towards the deck you play. Everyone just wants to win.

I only play exodia every few weeks once or twice when it's late at night and i jsut want to see misery in people's faces.

It's very boring playing against decks like this. On yugioh millennium duels it's always the same people using cheap decks like this. If i see them i make sure i have cards like royal decree in my deck before entering the duel just to piss them off.

very good point it's just too bad that the yugioh community will find a way to make that deck unusable by complaining to konami to ban the needed cards to make it work better enjoy it while it lasts

The best was when someone tried to bad reaction me and they played their 3 gift cards and then chained bad reaction and I chained MST and they just ragequit
