If you are ever in a state of emergency and you’re told by any agency to not trust your eyes, your ears, your senses, to not save yourself, do everything you can to help yourselves and your community. You are being targeted and they will cover it up. Save yourselves and get out of there. Have emergency food, water, generators, candles, HAM radio, renters/homeowners insurance, get in shape, stay hydrated, mind your dental hygiene, etc. Do whatever you can to save yourself and stay prepared, They will end you.

True, but by the time they arrived at my sister’s property it was too late but they were able to help her neighbor across the street from her pool. I am just thankful my family was able to evacuate before the mandatory evacuation. I have a hurricane box from June 1st to Dec 1st prepared every year with food, water, first aid kit, personal documents, etc. I have a bag with tools, my electronics, and 5 days of clothes ready to evacuate. I developed that method from Hurricane Rita in 2005. I just hate how the insurance companies will raise their prices. My sister said that she had already been notified that her fire policy was changing on March 1st. My homeowner insurance went from about $1500 annually for full coverage to $4250 annually and an extra $900 for flood since Rita. I do have 2 homes on my property. Taxes and insurance take the majority of our income.

I was in the Army, and we used to tease the National Guard and call them Weekend Warriors. Years later during the riots when we were packing our bags in case some of the domestic terrorists were torching building, and we had to leap from windows, the National Guard was there and I was so grateful for them. It can be such a calming presence when you know that there are people to there to help you get through a traumatic experience.

There is no way a system anywhere in the world has that much water stored underground. Typically, the aircraft that fight these fires get water from the reservoirs, lakes and the ocean. Because of the sustaining 50mps+ winds for the past 24 hours, most of the aircraft cannot fly. The firefighters have been prioritizing saving lives until today when we had a couple of hours pause.
