I'm 60 , in 1962 when I was born my Mom was a huge fan so I grew up as a baby/child singing every song , watching the rainbow spin on the turntable . Capital Records. I still have a lot of their original albums passed down to me from Mom . Even an album from Hamburg Germany with Pete Best ! I'm a drummer and Ringo was a huge huge influence ! NOT BAD....not bad AT ALL! The Beatles blew up on America when I was in early elementary school. Talk about BEATLEMANIA!! I was, we were ALL BEATLES, ALL THE TIME. Radio was AM ONLY then, with scant few of them. At night, our local station would play a solid hour of the Beatles while my sisters and I sang along. No kidding, we went into a depressive funk when the Beatles stopped, the station signed off for the night. This clip transported me back to those magnificent, magical times, decades ago now. THANK YOU!! Of course, WE WANT MORE.

I know my failure, shared with others, was not only to have had no interest in politics, but not to have made the slightest effort to protect & shore up our liberal democracy. I’ve heard it said that “Every inch of democracy that we abandon will be taken up by tyrants”. I blame the sense we had by eariy 1990s that we were living in a time described in Francis Fukuyam’s book, “The End Of History”. Fukuyama’s contention was that the natural end state of societies like ours was then was permanent, middle of through road politics, because it suited very few people to indulge in revolutionary ideas. Armed with that complacent attitude, like so many others of our generation (b. 1960), I spent approximately 0% of my discretionary energy attending to matters political. The only thing I did was always to vote in elections. But I paid no heed whatsoever to parish or county politics and politicians. Looking at the way numerous councils have begun to implement UN2030 Sustainable Development Goals, I feel so sad that by being passive about politics, tyrants have seized the controls. So few people realise what’s happening and I now see no way to fight off their satanic intentions.

I was 6 years old and in first grade when I first saw The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Imagine a bunch of 6 year olds talking excitedly about The Beatles the next day at school! Not only was that the start of my lifelong love of The Bestles, but it started me down the path of a lifetime of rock and roll! 😊

I’ve played guitar for ten years plus and anyone that’s actually really tried and genuinely loves music will know that the Beatles chord arrangements and the amount of chord changes that don’t seem right almost until you fit the lyrics and some vocal harmonies you have to get just right for the chord to work almost like a mystery that reveals itself when you nail ( not that you ever probably really nail it similar to led zeppelin) but you two do a nice job here and not many people would realise just how well you’ve done I would say to anyone get a song book as a guitarist and play the Beatles you’ll see what I mean and just why they were truly great
