Kirstie wrote the song with Kevin’s help. The gifts were inside joke gifts that the guys didn’t know about. The salt& & pepper shakers that Kevin received had something to do with a sugar/salt game they played. The sunglasses were ones Mitch wore in another video; Scott wrote a book ; and the hammer for Matt was actually a gavel. His wife had just passed the bar exam. Kirstie was the Christmas fairy.

Great reaction! The behind the scenes video tell us that Kirstie was sick on the day they made the video so instead they decided she would be the 'Christmas fairy' instead and sprinkle the magic on the house, so they could film her later! And yes I would pay a considerable sum to spend Christmas with Pentatonix! Can you imagine?!!

The "personalities" that you mentioned are the "relaxed homey personalities" that you don't usually see because they more often show the "professional working" personalities, and I think it's great to see the cozy homey side of artists. We get to see the other side of these people that we have put on a pedestal and we realize they are human too, just like us. I love to see the "fun" side of people. PTX is so good at giving you that family vibe and drawing you into that family. Yes, PUPPIES !! It truly is a guilty pleasure for them all but especially Kirstie. She has a tattoo of her dog on her right arm ! Speaking of Kirstie, she really did a great job on the lead of this one, and also in cowriting it. I LOVE the red dress she is wearing. Looks so GREAT ! She has an EPIC voice and so fitting for this song. They all did such a great job bringing us a Christmas song that will no doubt be a long lived "Classic". God Bless them! I would pay what they asked if I had it. They are such genuine humble people. I agree with you, they are having a genuinely good time in this video. Dogs are also a part of their lives. Kirstie’s dog Floof tours with them and I know Scott has a new Golden retriever. From things I have read Mitch is a real animal lover as well and has at least one cat. Kirstie and Kevin wrote this song. Maybe others, so I'm sorry if I'm slighting someone. There is a behind the scenes video that is worth watching. PTX does have original works and they usually take the lead in the songs they wrote. Another Kirstin original - Be My Eyes.

What a great original song and it seems destined to be a classic. You're right that the melody gives it that recognizable vibe and the chorus is so easy to sing along with. I love the song and the fun that they always seem to have. In the behind the scenes short, each is asked their fave part of making the video and Matt says it's the food! He agrees with you. :)

I was gonna mention the behind the scenes video but somebody already did. This song was written by Kevin and Kirstie.... I 100% agree with you that this is exactly what they're holiday get together would be like and I think them inviting us into their personal life. They Have a video For the song my favorite things. I'm not sure if it's a Christmas song but it did come out at Christmas time. Kirsty has the lead throughoutAnd you get to see there play full side. In 2020 Scott wrote a song thank you. It was for his boyfriend now husband mark about getting through The pandemic. Again you see just how tighten it they are and how much they enjoy 1 another's company and they're dogs in it. The Album the lucky ones Released in 2021 is all original songs. I don't know what album it is but early on they had 1 which was all original songs. Love again which is actually an EDM Song and sing Are very very good. I love how they upgraded 12 days of Christmas. I don't know if you've seen it but there is a video titled the making of evergreen where Pentatonix has allowed cameras into the studio You get to see them work on the arrangement and their whole process. This Christmas album is nominated For a Grammy As was evergreen. If you haven't reacted to it yet please react to Prayers for this world from last year's Christmas album. Originally the song was written for Cher And I just don't see her Singing it But Pentatonix knocks it out of the park

I saw PTX in concert last month and they did this song, it was awesome. They lean heavy on dark or moody sounds. Which makes sense since Mitch, Scott and Kirstie all love Halloween and wacky things. Check out “my favorite things”, very wacky. And puppies are Kirstie, so the puppies are very much a planned thing in a couple of their videos.

PSA!!!! PLEASE a huge Reminder to all Pet lovers... they are NOT 'Christmas Presents'! They are a LIFETIME Commitment! If you have no clue what a privelage, and how much work it actually takes (not unlike raising a child, but oft a bit quicker with potty training 😉), or the activity level of a breed... do your homework on the right dog for you and your family. BETTER yet, go to a shelter and take a fur baby off death row! They are the most grateful for being rescued, and will love and protect you for the rest of their lives!

The family feel of PTX contrasts sharply with some of the classic bands that usually broke apart under clashing Egos (The Beatles), sex scandals (Fleetwood Mac), money arguments (The Eagles), and physical assaults (The Police). The only members that have dated are Kirsten and Scott (no sex scandal possible) plus Kirsten and Mitch (also no sex scandal possible). Makes sense that Kirsten can cause guys realize that they are gay. Go out on a couple of dates and think why am I not feeling anything.....Ohhhh.

Many people at first glance with their big reverent songs assume they will be a bit stiff and pretentious. But they are such big goofballs. They have done vlogs and social media since the start and they are absolute creative chaos and sillyness. Love when it shows a bit more in videos.
