The award does not actually grant the title of Doctor. You need to finish and pass your thesis in order to acquire the title. A PhD is not an award.

@@la_estudiante what she got is a honorary award, a recognition, not a title of Doctor. Apart from that, she is studying a PhD and when she finishes in two years and passes the thesis (as a culmination of those years of research) she will be granted the title of Doctor, not before. It is not something that can be given, you need to earn it through a PhD.

I just became so tearful watching this.
