Material things don’t last. Invest your money and time on things that can not be touched, bought or stolen. 3. Look where he/she spends his/her money and time, you will find his/her heart there. 4. Time is cruel and does not discriminate. 5. Never wish ANY evil thing, on anyone…. You will get what you give. This one it’s SO important. 6. Words can hurt more than you’ll ever know, use words wisely.

Now, the important thing is that you have to know the spirit of man, and you have to know if what you must enter into; you must talk about entering into life, and how to be truly overcome, and how to obey God completely, how to obey unto death. You may say that you are overcome, but obey In the end, you must have the two aspects of Job's testimony--the testimony of Peter--the ultimate love of God. You must be like Job of his possessions, and was tormented by the sickness of the body, but he did not forsake the name of Jehovah. This is the testimony of Job. When he was crucified and faced his death, he was loved He is still God; he did not think of his own hopes or desire good hopes or luxurious thoughts and he only sought to love God and follow all God's plans: That is the basis you must have before you can be considered a witness, before you can be a man who became perfect after being defeated. They SAY TOGETHER, "SALVATION is from the LAMB, and to our God who is ON THE THRONE!" One of the elders asked me, "Who are the people dressed in white, and where did they come from?" "I don't know," I replied. "You know. ." And he said to me, "They are the ones who prevailed despite severe persecution. They cleansed and made their clothes white in the blood of the Lamb. Because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will be their PASTOR. He will bring them to the fountains of life-giving water; and God will wipe the tears from their eyes." They triumphed over the Devil through the blood of the Lamb and their testimony to the truth; they did not regret their lives. (Rev 7:4,10,13-14,17 ).... I have my mother's last name and realized it was a name given to her from my great grandmother's 3rd husband. I carry his name with so much pride as he loved her when no one else did. It was beautiful to watch Betty explain how she is still on a journey to define herself. I grew up not feeling that men were a necessity because I was surrounded by women that provided for their children. Perspective is everything. Some would say Betty has regrets or a beautiful life. I have been loved, received a higher education, homeless, PTSD and I continue to evolve and find strength in being vulnerable. i think what saddens me is that we all have stories, and everyone is to be celebrated and not thrown away and disregarded.

What Betty said about "last name" is very profound. Women think changing their last name is their choice but the truth is many feel pressured to or "social norm". But you literally lost a part of your identity and become someone's property. In Betty's case, she lost a bit of her with each name change. I wish more women understand this and stop changing their names

Im going on 5t 9and in my life i have been a daughter, a friend, a girlfriend and a wife. I played the role of friend, kind stranger, sibling, and villain. I knew who i was at 20 but at 30 i wanted nothing to do with her. My 30s were spent killing her off after finding the strength to leave an abusive marriage, after my mother and oldest sister passed. Both had wasted their lives trying to fit into boxes their undeserving husbands created. Both sad and lonely for years because thats what women did. My circle of friends is small and 4 out of 4 women are miserable with their parteners. All four have careers and are fully capable of supporting themselves, emotionally and financially. They hid away the best parts of themselves for fear of being too much, too hard to love. Sad and lonely while laying next to someone with no capacity for true intimacy. I was the 5th until i decided to walk away from a marriage and a life that allowed me to be. To be whatever and whoever i happened to be on any particular day. My husband had no expectations for what i was supposed to be. But that was a double edged sword. He had no expectations because he is incapable of emotional intimacy. No empathy, sympathy or any degree of warmth and support during emotional situations.😢😅 So at 50 it occured to me that if i had needs in a relationship that i didnt have without a relationship that werent being met, why should i continue with that relationship. I moved into a small camper with small living expenses, got a job that leaves me in pain everyday. Havent spoken to my friends and family in a year because i didnt want to hear what any one else thinks is best for me. Still trying to work out whats next but whomever i become will be of my own design. Age is a number, old is a state of mind and we only get one life, hope i can reflect on mine with pride for never letting fear of the unknown chain me to a version of myself i didnt design. I raise my glass to you maam, cheers to the many lives youve made for yourself as well as the lives you will change with this interview!!!

The most powerful thing I've seen in a long time. I married for the first time late in life, but knew emphatically I would not change my last name. Even so, I lost myself. Now after 12 years of marriage, I'm fighting to know myself again, a better and certainly a partly different version from when I married. To regain myself as an individual with specific dreams and desires is a climb. I try not to see the situation as a failure. Even if I leave the relationship, it's a place from which I can grow. It may hurt, all breakups do to some level, and I may even fall, but at least I'm falling upward until I get my self back. This interview was definitely spectacular. Took my breath away. Thank you.

As someone who lost themselves in a relationship, I really feel for you. Relationships for women are by default a hole which you must pour yourself into but can never fill. It's hard to be alone though because everyone wants to be loved but it sucks way worse to lose yourself in the name of being loved. They so far to me seem mutually exclusive for women. Well except Shera who has genuinely realised it is about her and no one else. If you get married to cater to others you are already lost.

Wow, what a bright and youthful soul, and not just for her years. I am still in my 20's. Respect for the elderly was taught to me throughout my childhood. My mother has been working in elderly care since the 80's, long before I was "on schedule" - so to speak. This reminds me of my last interaction with my great-grandma back in 2009. She had just turned 104 at the time, and sadly would not live past that year. But likewise a very sharp person, able to recall most of her life with near-perfect clarity, though she couldn't walk or do anything of that nature. Having a clear head and friends to share life with is everything I wish for in later years, at least as it stands today. The destination's all the same for us. I think it's the road we take there which ought to matter the most. I hope life's been treating you well Mrs. Reid. Thank you for blessing us with this interview. I wish you many and good years ahead! 😊
