Ploughing with MF 135 and Ferguson 10 inch Plough - 2012

Ploughing ley for turnips with a Ferguson 10 inch plough and the MF 135. Sorry for the vibrations, need to get a decent camera mount.

That's tidy work, there's quite an art to setting a Ferguson plough.

too class . brings back memories of me and my 1971 135 and my dad's 2 furrow fergie plough. must have ploughed at least 100 acres with this set up and enjoyed every minute

Do not wish to get a bigger tractor. We bought this 1494 case for some months ago, it's a hell of a mess to repair on, and it's weight is a nightmare! 3,5 tons, 2 of them are in the back, we have made our chief loader fit on it, a orange chief loader, it's nice to do loader work with, such as pushing snow, it really has the weight for it. Buy one more massey then, I think they're so much easier to repair on, such as 175 and 178. Harry Ferguson were a genious!

Well done its so long since i have seen ploughing done so straight and sods so evenly matched did a lot of that work in my youth with TEF20 and two furrow Ransome but never was able to do work to that standard . The soil looks similar to our own here in Ireland would wear the points away in a day . Enjoyed the video

Ive plowed lots of land with a MF-135 and a two-bottom moldboard, and let me tell you, it is slooooow going ! People who've never done it dont realize the time it takes.

Very nice :) At home we have a massey ferguson 35x 3 cyl. Diesel Perkings, for some years ago, many years ago, he bought a kvernland plough two furrow, It's a too big plough for that little tractor, without weights in the front, it would could be lifted by a man! He tried a two furrow 12 inch plough, but that didn't work very well at all. But this, looks just fantastic!

Thanks, yes tried skimmers on but they totally distorted the furrow and was making a right mess had to abandon them.

Fergie plough is a nice plough to work once set properly but parts such as shares are hard to get and very expensive. Sadly its come to the stage where its just un economical to use. Hopefully getting a bigger tractor soon and then i can get a new plough.
