Love it, awesome to see smaller, older kit still earning their keep.

I well recall following the hay turner within a few feet of it to stop the swath blowing all over the field. That’s one nice baler, our neighbour bought one new together with a 35x, i guess he must of come into an inheritance or won the pools 😊.

Dangerous looking rake, but old tractors are so cool. Farm work looks like a beautiful life.

Thanks for the comment. Power steering kits are easily available in this country for around £250. Not sure if they are available in the US though.

@wichywoo Hi richie, glad you enjoyed it! we are the east coast of sutherland. yes a sledge would be handy. but we don't make so much hay anymore, only 600-700 bales, the rest is put in big bale silage. John

Thats the easy part, picking the heavy bales, loading, unloading ..... Looks like the weather was against you too - well done.

@jonny4415 yes I've heard that welgers are good, dad got a MF703 in the 60's and we sort of suck to the MF's. I bought this one about 8 year ago and we got another for spares, so hopefully keep us going for a while! Yes MF135 is one of the all time greats;)

Do you know where i could get parts for my MF 703 baler? I'm looking for a bearing housing from the PTO shaft. It's MF part number: 642 177 M1 The same part is also used on the (later) MF15 and mf20 balers...
@williambeck74738 жыл бұрын
+markbreman I hope you've already sorted the problem 😂 but if not you should be able to get all the parts you need from your nearest Massey dealership, and if they don't have them they will usually be able to get them for you
@mark-d9k9b8 жыл бұрын
Thanks William; i already found the part i was looking for after a rather intense search for the part. Looks like my old MF703 will do the usual 100 bales this year again!

Dude what part of Scotland are you from? I'm an actor and would love to try your accent. I'm even from Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway and grew up on a farm with a 165. Pvt Fraser from dad's army has my accent.
