Plowing Snow With Can-Am Commander 1000 - Winter Storm Nemo - Maine Blizzard 2013

My Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law let me use their 2012 Can-Am Commander 1000 XT to plow the driveway today. The plow setup on this Can-Am Commander XT works really well. The Kawasaki Brute Force 750 was having a hard time keep up with winter storm Nemo. The Can-Am handled this Maine blizzard with ease. This machine can push some snow! I can say that using this machine made my day. Plowing snow with this Can-Am Side by Side was much better than plowing with an ATV. Maine Nor'easter, Blizzard, February 9, 2013.

Had mine (Commander 1000xt) for three years now. Been pretty reliable. I mostly do gnarly steep trails at low speed. So far all I've had to do is replace the belt (routine maintenance ) and replace a burnt out tail light. Wish I had gotten rock sliders. Have to be a little extra careful in the really tight spots. These things are a blast in the snow. About as much fun as you can have with your pants on.

You should always back up a bit before you raise the plow - it puts a lot less stress on the winch and the cable

The cab has small areas that allow air flow. Thus bringing in snow.

I love your can am commander but a old plow truck that you can beat up a little is a lot better then a $20000 dollar utv. by the way I live in Indian River Michigan and my old Ingersoll 446 with a snowblower or my plow blade works great, paid $1000 bucks for it and no problems man good luck!

Awesome toy. But defiantly more than $2000 added the cover and plow, might have heard you wrong though. Unless you get it used, not sure what the market is like there.

Got the rino and my buddy got the cam am and i can plow just as much as him and got the same places but he pay away lot more for is than me for my rino

Lol its not just good for plowing it's also for trail riding, you pay that kind of money just to plow with it lol I have Maverick max and i bought it for trail riding and to plow.

Not really i had a 2010 dodge ram tbing was a pos always broke down. Honda pioneer 1000 boss v plow plows my 300 foot up hill driveway very well and has not broke in 2 years.
