We just got done tiling on a field which had tile spaced at 100 feet by the previous owner. We found that 100 ft between tile in heavy black ground still leaves wet spots between lines and takes longer to dry out. While it cost more to tile at 50 ft, you don’t want to have to come back in a few years to finish the job. You will be happy you did the job right the first time.

I worked as a connection man for a season on a tile crew running a Wolfe plow. Best physical condition of my life. Even with that machine it is extremely physical work.

We pattern tiled our whole farm on 35 foot spacing by far the best money we spent. The guy who did it for us had a bron tile machine.
