The song made me cry as we lost our farm in 59 during the recession. Had been plowing with a case tractor all that spring and couldnt get anything for our wheat that fall and our cow milk was fading fast and we moved out. Mom went to the hospital and both my older brothers had grown up and moved out so our farm was hurting. I was ten and didn't know why dad was spending so much time at the bankers.

Sure does. The bean field was about 4.5 acres and we covered it in about 40 minutes so at that rate we were averaging 6.75 acres an hour. Could have went even faster if we hadnt been screwin around making this video, but we were doing it for fun, not to make time.

Running multiple tractors sure speeds plowing up. I was plowing with my 1850 and 5 bottom plow when my neighbor showed up with his 4650 and 7 bottom plow. We covered about 25 acres in 4 hours.

Our 3010 diesel will not pull 3 bottom deeres that easy or nice. But yinz are pullin hard it looks and its always nice to get out there in the fall and do it. Our Ford 5610 will walk away with our MF 82 3-16" plow it can pull it with the 4th bottom hooked on I belive. Great video!

Not something you see a whole lot of anymore. We've busted the old 4 an 5 bottoms out and put them on the 806s a few times in recent years to help roll under all the years of manure we chiseled in. That and so the old man could teach my brother and I the art of moldboard plowing.

Wish I had that 1850 and plows , I just picked up 50 acres to plow and reseed this spring I only have a set of 3-16 MF plows I think it may take me some time but I have a set of 3-18 IH plows that I can borrow too I am going to use the 3-18 on my 856 IH , I don't have plows for my Oliver 88 Diesel :(

I know this is an old video but I watched it again, I remember years ago when I did a lot of plowing it was nothing for a farmer down the road to show up with there tractor and plow and help you, not anymore around here, those guy are all gone.

gotta bury that trash once in awhile. let the ground do its work.... turn that stubble into mulch.... keeps the weeds down.... You gotta turn the soil or use lots of chemicals.... nice to see the plowing going on... I miss that stuff
