Sorry to hear about the shower tray....unfortunately a fairly common problem. Absolutely not your fault. Sometimes manufacturers installation instructions don't work in the real world. All the best and thanks

Nice video. Calmed me down after watching some other junk (not plumbing) I keep a couple of the plastic rad blanking plugs that the factory like to overspray. You never know in what circumstances you might next need to plug a hole 😉

Interesting and useful info! Thanks Luke, I love it when jobs just flow (I don't know if its the best thing to do but I tend to expect it to be a nightmare so that I am pleasantly surprise when it's not, its just when I go out thinking quick and easy I stubbed my toe. Could just be because I'm not a plumbing veteran yet) glad you didn't have any dramas, but still think your brave for saying it out loud 😅are you trying to tempt fate? 😂

From time to time the best hint is "Don't do the plumbing, call the plumber". Sometimes I wish there was a plumber for plumbers. Great job as always.

Excellent video again love to see these I always pickup something useful. What was it you used on the end of the ratchet to get the rad tail off? I take it was an Allen key suitable for the ratchet. Good man keep em coming.

Those plumb thumbs are good….until you cross thread them. In addition to these, keep a pair of compression stop ends, these can be fitted to rad tails too. Good video. 👍🏻

Yeah once they have been cross threaded they am a pain to get on or even scrap, cap ends am a good option as well 👍

I've used Jay cloths for years just tear a strip off use a slotty to push it inside the tail, you can reuse it, doesn't disintegrate a packet lasts a lifetime 😅

Why is it that gas closure plate tape is just about the least sticky tape you can buy? Last roll I had I unwrapped it in the merchants and couldn't even stick it to their counter. It's useless for the job and yet it's the only tape that's approved for closure plates.

Nice one mate👍👍 Wee tip for you when doing Rads. Buy a 22mm x 24mm open ended spanner. Then you have a spanner for your 15mm compression nuts, 1/2” Air Valve & 1/2” Plug. These Plumb Thumbs are a waste of money, just buy a 15mm compression pipe cap end & 3/4” brass Male plug. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
