This worked great! I got 100% of my seeds to root. One question, what is the hydrogen peroxide for? Does that prevent the seeds from rotting? If so, is it OK to water the plants with the same diluted solution Peeling off the husk was very nerve wracking so half I peeled and half I just planted with the husk. The peeled ones produced "leaves" faster, but all plants made it.

Most importantly is do not overwater them. I leave them in the cups till spring. Then put them in 1 gallon pots. I use 666 fertilizer for the first 3 years. Then a blooming fertilizer. Very few bloom at 3 years but some will. Continue to fertilize and plant or put in larger pots as needed. Elma you planted the seeds directly in the potted soil. so no further drying process of the seeds? I know using only water will be fine, that is how nature works anyways.. My question is if you use artificial thing here and there it might give you higher chance of germination but would not that make your investment bigger in the sense that the death of some of them could be due to the fact that some of those seeds were not good and strong ones to start with so you save watering and work on them by using natural means and allowing natural process to weed the weaker ones? I do not know how this can be tested since no one knows which seeds are the weaker which are not in order to perform the experiments, but I think it is an educated guess.

I started with Village Green 4 tier greenhouse. It has the square wire frames. Then I built wood frames to suspend chain and hang 2 x3 fencing I bought at Lowe's.

@@johnherndon4804 Just found one at Target. Thanks. The price is great. I need one for the squirrels. They keep digging up any and all seeds I plant. One last question... what size of cups are you using to fit those square holes? Thanks for the quick reply. Michael in Sunny Orlando.

Hello, thank you for your video. I am searching where to buy seeds? Some of the sellers seem a bit shady, people say they are receiving non plumeria seeds. Do you sell yours or have recommendations please?

Any update on these seedlings? Any on them bloomed yet?
@johnherndon4804
@johnherndon4804 11 ай бұрын
Not sure if those exact seeds have Bloomed but many have. I got hit hard by hurricane Ian, 20 inches of rain and many broken branches from the wind. No power or water for 9 days and much more work to do to clean up things. Several died or rotted but still have plenty to take care of.

Hi John, do you sell any of those plumerias?
@johnherndon4804
@johnherndon4804 3 жыл бұрын
I sell to local nursery's when they flower, so 3, 5, and 7 gallon mostly. Would have to ship cuttings, seedlings or seeds. You never know what a seedling will become, I have had white plants have red seedlings and multi color plants have white seedlings.

Some are quicker than others but if they have not sprouted in 14 days, they probably won't.

So you don’t cover the seedlings just put them outside?
@johnherndon4804
@johnherndon4804 4 жыл бұрын
If you peel off the seed covering, bury seeds just under the surface.

25% hydrogen peroxide to 75% water? I've never heard of that. I love the part about hanging the seeds on a window.

I've heard people use a little Super Thrive as well. I've germinated them with just bottled spring water. Some people get hung up on germinating them in the sun. I've done it with no sunlight and just a little warmth, like putting them on top of the cable box.

They don’t need lots of water, just like the tutorial said, just damp the napkin with the peroxide-water solution
