If eggman was the one about to be obliterated by the death egg, he would have dipped and left his army to die (except sage and maybe metal) , meanwhile bowser stepped in and protected his army from the beam. Now that's honor

Also consider that by keeping his army and Jr. alive, they were able to shut down the death egg and even revive bowser had he fallen from the beam via magic or even a 1-up shroom a troop could have been carrying on them. If he didn't, the death egg could have fired again and wipe him out too. It's bowser's honor and loyalty to his allies that won him this battle, and earn his victory over eggman.

@@ConTheSpider Way back when, me and friend speculated that since Bowser's army was decentralized, and fairly autonomous. He had an edge in that, if one head goes down, the other's pick up the slack, to ensure that head comes back up. If eggman goes down, that's it. Their leadership is gone, and all the troops gonna do is basic ass tactics without the head honcho at the top. His centralized command structure came with a massive disadvantage. (It's like comparing the lions of Central in Fullmetal Alchemist to the bears of Fort Briggs. The bears are autonomous, remove their leader, and they're still completely functional).

4:15 yes Bowser is far stronger than people or the main campaign of a Mario game imply. Bowser usually loses because he nerfs himself. So many of his abilities he uses once and then drops them but can hypothetically use whenever he wants

Almost every fight, Bowser loses to Mario because the arena Bowser chooses gives Mario an edge to use against Mario. Whether intentionally o4 intentionally Bowser lets Mario win . He could have chosen a battleground that doesnt favor the plumber

1:19 When you say hands to hands here, do mean eggman in mech vs Bowser with his normal toolkit. Or do you mean Eggman' Mechless. Hands to hands proper no Eggman loses easily but that isnt how you would a death fight between the 2 because Eggman doesnt fight without a mech. He temporarily outrun an early sonic and punch through an ice wall. But doesnt have many other natural abilities. Assuming both characters at thier strongest Bowser easily beats every Eggman mech
