An animation featuring a flight over the surface of Pluto. I have used colours based on HST imagery - yellows, dark browns/blacks, greys and whites. Snow may or may not exist on Pluto, and in any case may not look like in this depiction, but it's fun to speculate. Some scientists think Pluto will have very few craters, perhaps none. Some think they will find cryonic geysers there, such as those on Neptune's moon, Triton. We'll find out soon enough now. At the time of writing, the New Horizons probe is expected to fly past Pluto in just nine days.
