Hello Amit. Thank you for this video. May i ask this question please? Does the PM need to have all required skills required by a project before being hired? Thank you.
@edzest26 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question. As such, no one can have all the skills in the beginning itself. It needs to be developed with time. Initially, That PM will be selected who has the maximum skills.

Hello Amit. Do you have specific lectures for CAPM? As i can see the CAPM domain is bit different than PMP.

Hi Asmita, yes, CAPM is different from PMP domain wise and exam content wise as well. We don't have videos specific to CAPM as of now... We are working on launching the course in Jan2025.

@edzest9 күн бұрын
Hi Kavita, The tasks and enablers are mentioned in the Examination Content Outline document released by PMI, but it doesn't explain it. I have prepared the content on my own to create these questions. it will not be available in a book. However, I am creating an ECO explanation book, which will be ready within a week, if you want a copy, I will share that with you. Please send an email to "contact@edzest.org"

@edzest3 ай бұрын
Hi, instead of scope management plan, reviewing the WBS would have been better as the PM would need to check whether the feature was part of scope or not. Thanks also for you kind comment about our video, glad that you find it useful.

In 1.12, Q1: I have a conflict in the chosen answer: Q1: A project manager leading a digital transformation notices that several stakeholders constantly disagree with others and most of the times resort to personal attack to support their position. The team members are getting frustrated with the situation as it delays the meetings considerably without any outcome. How could the Project Manager avoid the situation? A. By helping team members establish ground rules in the project. My query: The question says that Stakeholders are having arguments and doing personal attacks and Team members are frustrated with that Situation as these arguments affect meetings. So the problem is with Stakeholders and not with Team members. How could helping ground rules for team members help when the issue is due to stakeholders? I would agree if the answer says to set ground rules for team members and stakeholders.
@edzestАй бұрын
Hi Vignesh, team members can create ground rules for team and stakeholders both. And the answer doesn’t specifically talk about team related ground rules only
@vigneshdgameАй бұрын
@@edzest Thanks! I read the answer again and now understand that PM is helping Team members to establish ground rules, I read it as PM established ground rules for the team. I should be more careful as I have PMP exam on 30th Aug and watching all your videos to check my answers and understand the reason for selecting the closed answer.

Task 1.5 question 5, I have a slight thought . There are two constraint one is regulatory and other is changes. So by using mvp we can tackle changes for sure I agree but you cannot tackle regulation because we will need to check the product with regulatory body during mvp and during full fledge launch etc. But if you chose the option d, if we use fast fail then this might help better because it will fail fast for both regulatory and changes. ( But contingency still remains a question whether we can apply same if the risk of regulation and changes is applicable) As mentioned just thoughts😄 . Please advise.
@edzest3 ай бұрын
You have got it right, Russ. Failing fast is a mindset/approach that will help us in checking quicker and MVP is a way to apply failing fast mindset. Option D is wrong because of the contingency reserve part of the option.

Question3 (Time 19 min in the Video) i believe we should go with Smooth/Accommodate as per PMBOK 7th Edition. Page 169, where it says when there is a disagreement with Sponsor..I believe Investor and Sponsor means the same.
@edzest3 ай бұрын
That’s interesting to know Suhas. Let me check PMBOK and I’ll respond. But, as such, I don’t think just because it’s a conflict with Sponsor, we should always accommodate. Also, sponsors arrange money from investors; but both can be considered same.
@edzest3 ай бұрын
Hi, I checked for the concerned page, yes, it does mention an example of Sponsor, but that's just an example. What's more important in that page, is when "reaching the overarching goal is more important than the disagreement". Here, in our question, the disagreement is on the methodology itself. Hence, it must be resolved well, rather than accommodating to Sponsor/Investor's point of view.
@suhaspai1183 ай бұрын
@@edzest Thanks for the reply, here also question says to take advantage, Investor is proposing...
@edzest3 ай бұрын
@@suhaspai118 there are two points investor's and team member's... Unless we know that there's not much difference between both the points, we should not go for Accomodate, as a response.
@suhaspai1183 ай бұрын
@edzest thanks for the explanation. I am facing this issue while preparing PMP, in other simulator they said Accomodating in similar situation, so not sure what to refer.
@tabathamuniz6213 ай бұрын
Question 1 for task4 (Task 1.4 : 01:37:40)- empowering is focused on decision making, according to the PMBOK. Empowerment. Project team members who feel empowered to make decisions about the way they work perform better than those who are micromanaged. Empowerment. Empowerment involves choosing which responsibilities and forms of local decision making should be deferred to the project team. Some environments and team member capabilities support high levels of empowerment. In other situations, less empowerment with more supervision and direction might be preferable. Empowerment. Is the project team trusted, supported, and encouraged to own and develop its working environment, agreements, and decisions? How does organizing around team strengths will empower the team? By giving them the confidence of achieving the assigned job?
@edzest3 ай бұрын
When you assign the responsibilities as per the strength, you are enabling the team members to take decisions on their own. Which is how you empower them. I hope I understood your question correctly, and have answered to your satisfaction. Do let me know.
