She was an industrial economist for Shell as she proudly tweeted. She’s on the side of energy firms & refuses to tax their unreasonably extreme profits, projected to be £170 billion, instead choosing to borrow & shackle the public with further debt. Her predecessors has shackled the UK taxpayers with debt too - £38 billion in failed track & trace, billions on failed PPE to his mates and additional millions in contracts to his mate who hosted his wedding. While the main objective of the US is obviously to force regime change and weaken Russia, forcing Germany to abandon Nord Stream 2 and buy the much more expensive US gas, was another objective of the US-engineered war in Ukraine. For the corporate-controlled US fraudulently disguised as a 'democracy', everything is about money. Biden told the president of Ukraine to sack the prosecutor who was investigating Hunter Biden or Ukraine would not get the $1 billion aid from the US. Hunter Biden and Zelensky are bankrolled by Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky. Joe Bribe'em and Hunter Bio'den.

Energy companies increase prices in expectation of future unit cost increases, that’s why their profits are increasing, as the cost of oil and gas has not increased as much as the increase in prices they are charging. I think the argument for this is that it allows them to guarantee they will be able to continue supplying energy when prices do increase for them, but in reality it makes very little sense, especially now.

If we take 150bn of that and give it to those households £5400 per house, £2700 per house per year. No body has to freeze or starve, our government is chosing this. Yes we really should punish profitable companies who employ people and drive them to take their businesses out of this country and create widespread unemployment. The perfect socialist solution. We really should not create more indigenous energy either, I mean that would be stupid as would creating investment. Madness all that would be. Typical socialist view, I.e. I want an equal piece of the pie but I don’t want to contribute to baking it. Getting more revenue by companies investing in the country would just be stupid

UK politics is playing out as pre-determined by the Establishment. Tory or Labour governments are selected on the basis of which can best serve the interests of Establishment at the time. The next act is an early general election to get Starmer elected PM because he's more rightwing authoritarian than many Tory MPs. Out of 650 MP’s, Starmer was the only one invited to become a member of the US rightwing neo-con's Trilateral Commission, founded in 1973 by US billionaire Nelson Rockefeller. All part of the increasing authoritarian lurch in the UK, in goosestep with the US and EU etc.
