I’m almost 28 years old. I was hospitalized twice within 6 for my depression. I went to an outpatient clinic twice a week. Seen a new gyno. I was always on the pill. At the age of 24 I was diagnosed with pmdd. At the age of 26 I was diagnosed with adhd. And at the age of 27 I was diagnosed with pcos My family doesn’t believe in mental health, so I went my whole life undiagnosed now I’m fixing myself ❤

Spent years in paindue to pmdd. Misdiagnosed multiple times. Was told it's all in my head and maybe I should check in for voluntary stay at a psych ward. Went to a doctor a new doctor who I love and took less then 10 min to figure out what was going on and come up with a treatment plan

Dr. Lincoln, Dr David Burns wrote the book Feeling Good. It is a cognitive theory approach to the ten areas of errored thinking that most people have. I think Barnes and Noble should have it. Cognitive training is hard work but so worth the effort. It is very nice you offer information out to help others. Take care.

I had PMDD, and it went into "turbo" mode when I went into peri-menopause. I became another person entirely. After a year of progesterone adjustments, serotonin syndrome, GI distress, and an emergency room visit for suicidal ideation, I had to be put on Lupron to suppress my cycle. I also tried acupuncture, CBT (I was already depressed.). I had to bring it up to my doctor, but she did listen to me.

Last summer, I ended up in the ER while on my period. I think that my sugar are iron levels dropped. Also that same day, I had to get my car jumped and I was kind of running late to work but clocked in on time. I felt my period coming on my drive to work. I ate a nice good breakfast that morning as well. I get to work, I'm all stressed cause I hate being late. I also work at an amusement park. That day was kind of muggy day but a little cool. I doing find. I went to go to the bathroom and someone was in the one person bathroom and I'm pounding on the door and there was no answer. Next thing I know I'm fanning myself with a pad in front if my coworkers. I kind of started to panic a little. Things go worst. I ended up going to our first aid. As I got to first aid, my fingers started to tingle and go numb a little. kind of have heavy breathing but yet again I just walked up a hill. They took my blood pressure and pulse. Both very weak. I also got an electrolyte popsicle barely ate that but I kept drinking water with baby sips. They asked me if I wanted to go to the ER and I said yes so that I can know what was going on. By the time the ambulance arrived, I started to feel better. Still went to the ER. All my tests came back normal. ER doctor came back in and said it sounded like you had a panic attack. With being stressed out, on my period, it was muggy outside, and not drinking enough water. the same thing happened to me months before and it was also high levels of stress. Even tho it was the same systems too. I'm now watching out for a systems, some staying hydrated, I'll eat a little snack while I'm on my period.

Hey there Dr Lincoln!! Can you make a future video on bartholin cysts and information about them. Not many obygns speak or even mention them, and forget about HS sex ed. It happens to so many women and have no idea where to turn to or what they can be. Thanks!!! Love all your videos!!!!!

Great timing with this video (PMS is hitting me hard this month), and I really appreciate it. I'd be curious to know if you think certain supplements could help mild PMS and the data around that (evening primrose oil, magnesium glycinate, etc.). I see these suggested online but would love a professional's opinion. Maybe a good topic for a future video. :)

I’m about 3 months back on Prozac and my intrusive thoughts/uneasiness anxiety come back about a week before my period and a couple days into it. Should I just wait a few more cycles to see if it gets better or increase my dosage?

I have this thing where one to two days before my bladder BURNS. Almost like a uti. Feels like my bladder is prolapsing again. Then i also get extremely depressed. Most times i feel like ending it, but have to remind myself its just my period and it will get better. I have tried birth control. BC seems to put me in a permanent pms like state and nakes it 10× worse. Tried anti-depressants and they make me MORE depressed. I go to therapy but half the time talking about it and receiving useless advice makes me more mad. So yeah. Now i just tell everyone like three days in advance that I am going to be the worst person ever. Sometimes I will even be happy and start randomly crying. Always have to tell people I'm happy and just crging because of hormone fluctuations 😂 I'm fortunate enough to only have these extreme symptoms for 1-3 days before my period. Then absolutely no symptoms during my period. Half the time when I start bleeding, my emotions immediately improve, I'll laugh at how ridiculous I was being, and my bladder feels fine again. So I guess I'm thankful it isn't worse and can still be logical. I know two weeks in advance the exact date of my period because I can feel the exact moment of ovulation. Has never been wrong. Even when my app says it will be a certain day, I know it it's wrong based on my ovulation being later or earlier than the app calculated.

How can prospective husbands, who would become the recipient of PMDD spousal abuse, find out before making the mistake of getting married to a time bomb ? Could a hysterectomy prevent the onset of PMDD and thus possibly save a marriage ?
