I just ordered one of these re-worked bows from these guys. Great customer service with excellent communication. Looking forward to my journey from compound to traditional archery with an inexpensive yet tuned bow.

Received one of Nik's reworked longbows a couple days ago and it is fantastic! Great looking and great performing. It is very quiet with no handshock and is inherently accurate. It outperforms some of my bows that cost 5 times as much. Grab one if you can...you won't be disappointed.

I bought a 45# one from Amazon and have grown to really like the bow. And I have several very expensive custom bows! My bow measured 42# at 28" on my scale. No biggie, still love it. Ordered a reworked 44# bow from Nick. Beautiful workmanship and really upgraded the bow. Chose a red and black one instead of a brown one like I already had. I just shot it through a chronograph for kicks.I draw 27" so the bow is 42# at my draw. 174 fps with a 9.2gr pp arrow, and 145 with a 14.25 gr pp arrow. I like the heavy arrow. Deadly quiet and I'm a 4-14 yd hunter. Thanks Nick for an awesome service!

Shane thanks again for another great video. I have always been impressed with your stance and anchor when you shoot on the videos. I notice how well you anchor and hold for a couple seconds before you shoot. I remember how much more accurate I was when I could do that. I now suffer from target panic and have done so for years. Can you give any advise on how to overcome target panic. I always like to ask accomplished archers like yourself for some advise. Thanks, Shane

You know what I'd like to be able to help you with this, but I'll be real honest I'm not the best one to talk to on shooting form. I will tell you this, I struggled with target panic for awhile. My target panic manifested itself in a flinch just as I released so what I started doing is practicing holding my bow at full draw and anticipating the flinch and actually letting the flinch play out, but continuing to hold the bow through however many flinches it took until I could release smoothly with no flinch. It took quite some time, but I've got to the place where I have been able to train that flinch out. I honestly think it's a bit different for everyone

Im curious, if these are mass manufactured, i assume the limbs are probably the same top and bottom, especially since you said they frequently have neutral tiller. Is that likely? If it is, could you swap top and bottom to change the tiller if you wnd up with negative tiller?

KANOKAI 54 inch R&D model as one of the cheapest models in laminate fiberglass wood on the market made in models for both right and left is one I am curious about as some people have had mixed reviews of a good/okay bow or second worst bow for hand shock in USA. I have seen a specific SAS Pioneer Longbow as a model please stay away from as guys who have very similar bows from Great Northern or St Patrick longbows and know to use a full grip on bow, bow handle even if leather s fixed in place, bow sill sucks as grip is dished and lightly notched where you can really only have one or other on an ASL longbow.

You really need to bump up the FOC on those cheap Amazon arrows. 250 grain tips help them fly a lot straighter but geesh do you ever end up with a heavy arrow! Ok out to 15-20 yards but they drop like a bag of bricks after that. In saying that, they'll hit hard with good kinetic energy with a decent 2 blade broadhead up front but they aren't very durable.

@@sonnybonowig7538 pretty hard to find a top of the line compound for $800. That'd be a cheap one. Traditional bows are timeless, the legacy and history of them is thousands of years old. Compounds started in the 1970s
