If you had your partner as sub zero and did noobs block disabler you could do an unblockable combo repeatedly until the effects wore off. The move I’m talking about, is the one sub zero does around 1:20 the pimp slap into the dagger then repeat, your Opponent couldn’t do anything but stand there.

I never got more hate mail than when my brother and I played this together. He played ermac I played scorpion and after going to the lab we quickly figured out he could jail into scorpion assist which was unblockable then charge up his unblockable into lift combo rinse and repeat. :D

MK9 had a MK1 Classic Scorpion skin; MK11 has a MK2 Classic Scorpion skin; In MK1 Scorpion had pupils in his eyes, but in MK2 his eyes were all white.

I hope they add a proper Tag Assist for MK1 post launch. It seems like the perfect match given the kameo system and how the story mode showed that they could work in the kameo system with base roster characters, with things like the generic fatal blow moves they used in story mode fatal blows for characters that aren’t kameos in the normal game. A system where you could tag in and out while using your buddy’s cameo when it’s your turn could be a fun dynamic.

I played a bunch of tag back in the day with some buddies. I remember finding Scorpions Assist allowed for enough time to do a full b2 charge on Subzero for the unblockable freeze, which just didnt cause any scaling at all for scorpion to juggle in

I have so many childhood memories of playing this mode with my cousins and friends. Me and this one cousin of mine I remember would always play with the exact same team of Kung Lao (Me) and Sub-Zero (Cousin). He taught me everything I know about Mortal Kombat. This mode is how I really learned to play MK. Doing a 4 player tag match against our other 2 cousins was also a blast. So many good memories. Learning team attacks and stuff like that was so incredibly fun. Even just doing an arcade tag ladder by yourself can be a lot more fun than doing a single character ladder. If you get bored of playing as one character, you can simply tag out and keep playing. The mode is broken, however, there is nothing wrong with that if you just playing casually with friends or playing against AI opponents. I really hope that they bring tag mode back in MK12.

I've always used Tag mode for ladders with fighters that I generally wasn't as good with. In Tag Ladders, the first fighter you choose is the one that gets the Ending once you beat Shao Kahn, so if you wanted the Ladder ending for a fighter you weren't good with, just pick them first and follow them with a fighter you're great with, and you'll have a much easier time.

Either generic tag fatalities that any combo of characters can pull off of a secret fatality that unlocks when you have a specific tag team. Same here, bro. Me and my cousin had our best time playing fighting games with MK9 tag mode,. Even if it was broken for competitive mode, just put it in the game, without tag combos if it was necessary, but put it at least for regular towers against IA. MK11 was great and had massive content, but only putting just one tower for tag cooperative mode is a dissapointment and a missed opportunity. Just put it in the game as a free tower option, for gods sake, NRS .

I remember 'Street Fighter EX+Alpha' had this mode where we selected 5 characters in put them an order and the opponent (CPU or player) would do the same. A new character came up as soon as the previous one died. It used to be so fun to create such teams. In these games, one can only do a 1v1, and it gets boring

For me, the ultimate insult is how they basically made MK11 be able to do tag matches, then locked it to specific character pairs in Towers of Time and a couple Aftermath story fights. Literally saying, “We can give you what you want…we just don’t want to.”
