I hate every double team in the game lol. I'm a lore base squad type player. My Sub strictly gets paired with Sektor, Frost, and Cyrax only. Not even Sub with Scorpion because Bi Han never had a great relationship with Hanzo.

I cant express how much i love you commentating or, just, speaking on MK topics, but i just needed an outlet to let you know that you are the sole reason I watch MK tournaments. There are so many teams like this that make the game fun but people don’t like to try things outside of the meta. Rain with Scorpion kameo is my main team and Scorpion allows Rain to set up multiple portals mid combo for completely safe jump-in situations. You can put out two portals mid combo that sandwich the opponent on wake up to set up confluence beam for plus frames and you can end your portal combos with teleport to bait upblock/wake up. You can stilldo all the whirlpool set ups that he gets with other kameos as well. Kenshi with sektor is also pretty fun.

Excellent video, thank you. One question on the footage though- for down kameo, you often show back 2 into the overhead before they get hit into the clone- with this being a double overhead, doesnt this defeat the mix? Or am I missing something?

I figured that scorpion and Sonya do really well. You can do f34 to Sonya to mini dash f32 mini dash 21 into spear into f32 into Sonya into air 12 bf2 for insane damage

Thanks for this video Ketchup. I've been using Sub Zero as my main for a while and was inspired to try Darrius after watching this. For some reason though when I press the kameo button + down arrow the Heelturn move does not consistently come out, I spent about 2 mins in practice mode trying but only "sometimes" Darrius comes out for Heelturn. Any tips? Thanks!

I play Shao/sub right now pretty much exclusively and I was thinking what would be possible with Shao/Darius hard to block axless 50/50's I'm sure would be the main thing. I use Shao/sub in a way I've only seen one other person use him and that's the person I learned it from. Shao/ sub zero actually has a vortex. You can do a hit combo into putting the ax down stand 2 down back 3 and be right in their face for an axless 50/50.then on hit stand 2 into sun zero freeze, down forward 4 to call the ax back 22 down back 3 and repeat. You can take about 80 -85% life with a touch and a wrong 50/50 guess. Basically just like MkX Smoke.

@@bryanbridges6152 subs really good especially for anti zoning, that reset is cool didnt know ab that, sounds useful asf. dar and shao gives hard to blockable armor breaking safe on block meaties that lead to 40% full reset unto the same situation from anywhere on the screen, and/or jailing plus frames on knockdown to use if they’re blocking correctly. that’s on top of the command throw, back trow, overhead, low, armor combos. khameleon is still his best though unfortunately.

The fault of the "lab guy" is that, everything works in the lab. I've said this once and literally got insulted by them. Calling out everyone does great in training mode in a combo video where the opponent just ate everything like a target dummy. People pointed out "ping is right there lol" in a vertical youtube short with no other information or nickname on screen like we have any idea if it's elder god kombat league gameplay or just a custom lobby against a friend... Just came to see since I mostly play sub zero but all I'm seeing is stuff that works in a vacuum as usual while people saying "BuFf sUB zEr0" like things that work against a dummy suddenly makes a character not bottom 5 anymore. It's a fighting game. If any Johnny Cage reads ANY of this 2 times in a row and just puts you on the back food, and you're playing sub zero, get ready to eat 10 different plus frames and safe strings into mixups. Something that Sub Zero DOES NOT have.

Darrius entire thing is that there are often solutions to escape. But if the opponent is choosing the one option every time you can punish that instead. Lol to the person calling me a lab guy. I've got elder God like 4 times as someone who doesn't grind every night. One of those elder gods was with pre patch sub darrius when everything was harder.
