This is the first time I have seen an actual film shot on the Blackmagic Pocket whatever... and I think that the image is very sharp! I couldn't watch it in 4k, but in HD, it looks more sharper than any other videos I have watched.

Beautiful little documentary with a fantastic look with this camera. But I have a question, the footage in there is pretty stable for handheld. I know the 18-35 Sigma isn't IS. So did you have to stabilise the footage in post or is this a BMPCC 4k track for those shots. I didn't think it had IBIS, but could be wrong. Really want this camera, no idea why i'm holding back on the order button. Its a great price and great spec

I was browsing youtube the other day and found this channel when I saw one of your videos about cars. Now I'm getting into it and it suddenly clicks that you're THE Mumbo that I was subscribed to way back when I was really into Minecraft. (I vaguely remember donating to you in a livestream once actually...) The strangest thing is that I've also been getting into filmmaking too as well as a minor obsession with cars that I've been cultivating for years (I'd love a campervan like yours, I've just got to save up a bit!) Out of curiosity, are you only interested in documentary making or have you got any other plans? I'd like to get more experience making docs because it's something that I find interesting. Good to see that you're still doing what you enjoy. Keep it up, and definitely enter some film festivals at some point!

I'm not involved in filming right now, as the equipment can get quite expensive, but I do hope to get started at some point. I already have the editing experience from my gaming channel and use DaVinci which I hear is great for films because of the colorizing that you can do. So now the only part is the camera and possibly a Mic. What camera would you recommend for a beginner that is cheap but still high quality?

Thank you. I am on my path of becoming local one man filmmaker and its bugging me a lot what choice should i make. Starting with wedding paid gigs. C200 - i like the proven quality, the battery life, the picture, the AF, the NDs, the sturdiness, the no-crop stuff. I dislike the size, the price, the file size in RAW. BMPCC4k - i like the cinematic picture, the size, the price. I dislike the AF, the battery life, the issues i hear about in general with the camera, the file size in RAW. Both of these will need a modern computer to edit, with lots of storage. And i am a7R3 photographer with some canon/batis lenses, lol :( Help?

A7R III should do really well for weddings, you just need variable NDs to fit your lenses and more batteries and cards for footage. Neither the C200 nor P4K will use your Batis lenses, so you'd have to change those, too. Get a monopod or/a gimbal, and the battery grip for the Sony. Watch Brandon Li's recent work, it's all shot in the A7R III. If that quality isn't enough for weddings then I wonder what kind of weddings you shoot.

@@vpr5562 If your budget goes up to the C200, consider the Sony FS5 or FS5 II. You'll be able to use Canon and Sony lenses and get a compatible look between the A7R III and dedicated video camera. It won't have the image quality of C200 raw or P4K Blackmagic raw, but it's pretty decent. A second hand FS7 is also within that price range and has great image quality.

Of course my comments are a little late to the gig, but, I just wanted to say that this video was extremely motivating to me personally. I am literally in the middle of transitioning from click, click, click to endless mp4 files to wade through. I latched onto the Pocket 4k mainly because of Phillip Bloom and his pussies (excuse me, I meant to say 'cats'). You have just confirmed what I have been doing for the last month. I am having so much fun building my first cinema camera with the Pocket 4k. And you gave confirmation to my lens choices and of course to my choice of camera body. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! If it means anything, I visited Cebu Island in 1975 as a Marine Amphibious Expeditionary Force. We ran though the streets in our shorts and tee-shirts and the citizens of Cebu loved it. Then onto busses to a lanai area at a remote beach. By far my best memory of being in the Corps! And now for the bad part. As we approached the island on the Navy ship as Marines (meaning that we are second class citizens that are always in the way of ship operations), the ship's cinema crew came on the television. They simple said, "Booo!!!" And then there was silence. Finally they said, "Well we are approaching 'say boo island'. At that point I wished that the Marine Corps was not a sister service to the Navy and I was so glad that the Navy DID NOT follow us through the streets of Cebu.
