Modify your arrows by removing the nock-end and replace with... get ready... golf tees. this provides a different gripping surface that is easier to hold.

On this set up i suggest removing the knock and putting a golf tee in its place using glue or epoxy to hold it in, this way there is a thick spot with a lip to grasp.

My concern with any slingshot that has "parts" is lose a screw, lose the usefulness... and as someone else mentioned less power means shorter range and less impact...would you consider the dual surgical cord slingshots if they make one that will multitask...

Awesome sling shot! It definitely looks good for the metal ball shot, but the arrow part of it could be better. Maybe having a tube rubber band instead may help on that part. Thanks for sharing and I'm looking foward to the next video.

How leathal are those shots? By the looks of it, it seems hard to kill anything larger then a small bird. But I might be wrong! And also, it would be Great to see some actual hunting! That way People get a grasp of how difficult it actually is to hunt. Great show! Cheers from sweden!

I like it, but I think you'd do better, maybe, mounting a Whisker Biscuit for the arrow rather than an open loop. Have you tried that?

Hey David, I was wondering if you would try out the Barnett Cobra Slingshot and give it a review, they are very reasonably priced for their quality and the bands on it seem to be pretty strong and durable. it isn't made to be a slingbow but im sure with some modifications it could be. Thanks :)

Try putting a golf tee in the end of the arrow. You'll find it much easier to hold than a string knock. Enjoy more success.

hey david,great video, cant wait for part 3, but i have one question, if you were to go out into the woods, and take only one slingshot with you to kill a rabbit or a pheasant, what slingshot would you bring and what ammo would you use? please keep the awsome videos coming!:)

stpatslad2k14 Excellent question! I would take any of the Pocket Preditor flat bad slingshots for small game. The SERE is a bit pricy but would be a first choice... second to the Pocket Preditor HTC... which is around $39 and very easy to shoot. For me the flat band slingshots are easier to shoot accurately and can be easily adjusted to get the proper energy to take down small game. Plus the size and weight is smaller than any of the round band slings... and the flat bands more compact to carry and extra and are easier to change in the field - IMO. Hope this helps! ~D

asamusicdude anyone who has hunted with these knows the hit probability on small game at 15 feet is about one hit out of 20, vs 100% with a .22

All of them are illegal to own in New Jersey. This is what happens when people allow the government to legislate away "cool" stuff. I would love to just shoot a sling shot in the back yard but it is against the law for anyone (LEO or military) to even own one in this state.
