i find it fascinating about the construction industry and how people in ireland seem to view or have viewed the men who build their houses , roads and service buildings , these people are the fabric and backbone of a society so my wish is that their confidence and view of themselves is just turned around and flipped to the highest thoughts of strength , confidence and pride in what they do.

This is true redemption if I've ever seen it... Timmy gets it...how do u know your healing.. When u truly want to provide an environment for others, like you, to thrive....mindfulness for me is the key to unlock the sub conscious and identify the self limiting beliefs that hold us captive... Again, I'm engaged, motivated and very hopeful that some lasting change comes... Please keep this up.. Fucking amazing....

I wish that ye had this podcast sooner, my god to hear people from ur own city and from the same kind of background would have made so much difference to my 2 brothers, they both went to treatment a few times but there was no real support or open conversation like what ye are doing now, openly talking real and understanding is definitely the way forward, I've only came across ye lately but as a sister that has lost my 2 beautiful brothers I can now understand them better from what ye are saying about ur own struggles, talking really is the key, Thank you

The Two Norries are AMAZING!!!! It was actually a programme called 'Antisocial Ireland' that was on Virgin Media the other night that drew me to them! I've been listening to the first two episodes and all I can say so far is a breath of fresh air hearing these two lads talk about how they grew up and how the dark side of it affected them and led them to the world of crime/violence/drugs/addiction/prison. Just going through this and coming out to the other side and still continuing to do so, brings me a sense of community and belonging just listening to them and their contribution to my own personal journey between my mental health, going through the motions, and trying to get a career that I know I can contribute very well to society with (Mental Health Nursing). James and Timmy are two very special lads and are a credit to Cork City and Cork in general!

brilliant again. look forward to James being in the hot seat next week, its a thin line between what you both went through to when we used to play football in hollyhill back in the day. You would see the two of you sometimes playing football with us without a care in the world. Timmy was always letting his leg in though! tough character, but truly delighted to see you both make such a comeback and become almost beacons for kids going through the same journey as you both did.

Have watched a few of these podcasts. I applaud the redemption and rehabilitation these 2 guys have both achieved. However I'd like to see more reflection from them on the impact their violent and thieving crimes had on their victims (some who may still be suffering today). They seem to have completely forgotten about that.
@thetwonorriespodcast4 жыл бұрын
We haven't. It's not easy to bring a victim of crime on the podcast. We have tried. We gave our own stories where we apologised for any harm caused. We now do our best to improve our communities and support the people within them. We try help people to understand why their sons and daughters are behaving the way they are and what they can do to help. It would be very easy for us to get on with our lives and say nothing, but we fronted up, took responsibility, apologised and now want to help. I'm not sure what else we can do. Glad you like the podcast Kieran.
