The Bible has a lot to say about what Dr. Leaf is talking about here. It’s called renewing the mind. Meditating on the Word of God over the last three years has done more for me than any other spiritual discipline. This is so important to a changed life. Meditating on the Promises Of God and the character scriptures will change your life. It doesn’t come fast or easy but it will come to the persistent and determined.

What steps did you take ? How often did you confess the scriptures outloud etc. Im in this process and could use another christians advice on this.

@@TonyaA7 you need to really understand that Jesus really was sinless and died for you, because He loves you and wants us to be where He is and save us from the other place. Read the book of John, walk and pray (talk to Him, ask Him), allow for silence to hear that still small voice. Watch the Passion of the Christ. Jesus saved me from death and got me through many tragedies. God bless you ❣️

@@TonyaA7 try go to confession with a catholic priest. I know this maybe be scary or maybe foreign to you if you're not catholic, but it is such a beautiful gift Jesus gave us. The priest is in place for Jesus, you’ll feel the burden and weight off your shoulders after you finished. A holy and experienced priest matters, as he councils and gives words of wisdom before absolution. Why not try, it's free service, you’ve got nothing to lose, speaking your sin/problem to a friend who would never judge or condemn. God bless you!

@@TonyaA7 Hi Tonya. Your heading in the right direction. I spend time speaking out the Promises Of God out loud daily. Usually about a half an hour a day. Meditating on the Word roots Gods ways from our head into our heart. All true long term transformation comes from changing our heart. I learned how to do this though listening to a series called “Effortless Change” by Andrew Wommack. You can watch the whole series for free on KZbin. Change is a process and will take time to see transformation, perseverance will be very important to seeing long term and permanent change. Sorry for the delayed response. Just saw your comment today.

I learned how to break the cycles of self-negativity when I started telling myself what the Bible says about me from allowing Joyce Myer's teaching to help teach me how to renew my mind. My mother taught me when I was a teen that I was limited to rely soley on my looks to get anywhere in life. You are the 2nd woman in my lifetime to be as good a teacher as Joyce to focus on the truth of Jesus' power over my life, not the lies I was taught as a young person.

I’m slowly changing. Reading the book, and also doing the Neurocycle app. It does help and is working for me. I am on day 11 and still have a ways to go, but I do see subtle changes..God is faithful and provides his children with all the help we need to overcome any strongholds , just ask him and listen , he will guide you 🙏🏾

Dr Leaf ; I first came across your Detox Your Brain sermon a week before I was diagnosed with cancer. Your books and podcasts have helped me more than I can even put into words. Brilliant as always, Thank You, 🙏🏾. Rewriting toxic family history is actually the best way to honour your parents because you change the perception that people have of your fam. Generations down the line anyone that meets your children / grandchildren would not believe that there is generational trauma.

I am amazed how the Lord has enabled you to prove biblical truths. I live in Brazil, I read your book "Swicth on your brain", I started to follow you on insgram and I pre-ordered your new book. I'm waiting to arrive. I've already started the 21 days of neurocycle with me and my children. I am very grateful for your life and family. May the Eternal continue to guide you, strengthen you and prosper in everything! Blessings from Brazil.

I'd like to really get with this and suspend or dissolve the violently molecular memories from birth! Both mother & I see ea.other from trauma that I KNOW is residual from past generations. I'd like to take authority on my end but pray over us both 🙏 °•~ so that love begins to replace the fear we so strongly associate w/ one another.

I like this perspective: you can go 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, 3 minutes without oxygen, but most of us can't go 3 seconds without thinking.

Well thats not fair . We are born with stuff from our parents past and grandparents .... But Jesus Broke all blood line curses the word of God says . So we sont have to be like them nor struggle what they did . I think alot is due to learned behaviors we pick up from our parents . Others from life experience. Speaking from my own experiences... Jesus is the answer and healing as we renew our minds with Gods word healing will take place as we uproot the lies and put Gods truth in and allow it to grow. As we begin to believe Gods word and get wrong beliefs out perspectives will change and we will begin to see things through a new perspective/window of Gods word.... Knowing who we are in Christ and Gods love for us also is vital to breaking strongholds...
