I go to every panthers game. The attendance now is a lot better now. It’s sad but the fans only go to the games if we win. Two years ago when we had the playoff “run” there were people standing in lines for hours to get tickets. I don’t see us getting relocated be for Arizona or Carolina at least.

I think it all comes down to advertising the reason why tampa is doing so well is because of its advertising in the past two years or so like if you go to a mall you'll see tampa posters and Tampa bay jerseys I didn't even know Tampa was in the Stanley cup against the Blackhawks but next season I started watching go Bolts!

Hopefully expansion/relocation works out like: Houston get new expansion team (owner can afford it and wants team) Seattle gets relocation from Arizona (more tempting finance wise for potential owners) Quebec City gets either the Florida Panthers or Carolina Hurricanes. Also I miss Brent
@noobish44557 жыл бұрын
If Houston does get a team, they would have 5 professional sports teams. The Texans, Rockets, Astros and they just won the World Series so there’s that, and the Dynamo (Soccer team). They have a huge sports fan base in Houston. I say Houston is the way to go in all honesty.

How about Quebec City and Markham. Expand and relocate to Canadian cities that will support the team not American markets that don't care about the NHL. Would Bettman rather have 18,000 a night in a Canadian market or 6,000 a night in Houston.

The last time when two teams never to have won the Cup met in the Final was 2007 when the Ducks defeated the Senators in 5 games. I honestly thought Buffalo-Dallas was the last one, totally forgot about this matchup.

I was thinking about Arizona but I think that market might grow from Auston Matthews success in Toronto. I gotta imagine having a local kid become a superstar as well as the team becoming good for once should make it more relevant there. There seems to be a growing minor league presence there based on the Auston Matthews documentary that aired tonight.

The last time two teams played in the final that hadn't won was 2007 with Anaheim and Ottawa, I actually knew that off the top off my head. Second St. Louis is tied with Toronto for the longest cup drought. Toronto hasn't won since 67 obviously and St. Louis hasn't won since coming in to the league in 1967.

Something people may not know about the coyotes, the place where they play is kind of outside the super populated parts of phoenix and is a pain for many people to get to... One of the main reasons I think people don't go as often as many thought they would originally.

Im not a Coyotes fan by any means, but when people say hockey hasnt flourished in Arizona is partially true but you have to remember Auston Mathews got into hockey by watching the Coyotes and if they didnt exist, Matthews probably would not have been a hockey player and Toronto wouldnt have a Franchise centreman to build the franchise around.

regarding the overtime penalties i personally feel they should just increase the over time duration to 10minutes so you can keep the 2 minute penalties. 3 on 3 overtime is so fast paced and back and forth it will never last more than 10 minutes and lessen the chance of shootout which i personally dislike.
@DavetheDiabetic17 жыл бұрын
I think it should take a little movement from a couple of teams: Calgary to Seattle (Pacific Division) Arizona to Houston (Central) Florida to Quebec City (Atlantic) The only way they'll add another expansion team (with those movements) would be for the team to go back to Atlanta or another Southern city, or a European/Mexican team? But I do think 32 is the perfect number of teams for a pro sports league. Think of the NFL, 4, 4 team divisions. Besides that we already have half of the league going to the playoffs, so it would be the top team from each division, plus 4 wild card teams.
@nickpeluso23627 жыл бұрын
Hey guys, great channel and videos. Just an idea for a future topic is how ridiculous it is that since the last realignment, Boston and Montreal only play each other 4 times a season!? When they used to play 6-8 games in the passed. Just curious on your opinion because i feel like the rivalry has lost some of its passion it used to have. But anyway keep up the great content! And go Bruins haha
@southtext34007 жыл бұрын
Seattle expansion would have 9 in Pacific 7 in central 8 in each Eastern division. In order to balance they would move Calgary and Alberta, two mountain time teams to the Central, Colorado would move to the Pacific. I don't there will be any relocations.

@isobeletc.15277 жыл бұрын
agreed, Seattle and Quebec City are really eager for nhl teams so why not use that instead of putting the next team somewhere where nobody asked for (*cough*golden knights*cough* - although they are going surprisingly well. and Arizona and Florida are the teams who are struggling the most financially (and just they're all around struggling) (probably followed closely by the avs) so there isn't really anything to lose but a lot to gain. it just makes sense, idk why bettman refuses to see that (sorry for the long comment)

yeah they keep all their players although in past relocations the gm/management has tried to get rid of as many players as they could before the move (whether trading them, putting them on waivers or buying out their contracts) for a 'fresh start' (I think it's because relocation usually means they need a rebuild anyway so they take the opportunity)
