It feels somehow wrong to throw them away when you have taken care of them and watched them grow! Did you know you can eat your SCOBYs and that they're actually good for you and have health benefits? Check out all my recipes and ideas on what to do with all your scobys.

Sad news from Jovial foods. Founder Carla passed away a few weeks ago. Such a tragic loss. She pioneered for Einkorn wheats revival. May she rest in peace and know she will be missed by many.

There are many coffee Kombucha recipes on KZbin, but none like Donna's. She uses coffee grounds; I had plenty of grounds saved for her recipe. I just finished making 3 quarts using her recipe. Other recipes said that the Scoby needs to be thick. No problem, I was wondering what to do with the one that was created in my constant brew pottery brewer. It was formerly the base that held a five gallon spring water bottle. It will be fun to see how this batch turns out. I poured some off and experimented by adding 1/2 C. dried, unsweetened coconut flakes and 1 T maple syrup, then dumped everything along with 3 small, thinner Coby's from my stash. Drinking kombucha definitely makes me less interested in my daily, habitual morning coffees. I'd like to eliminate fresh coffee; hence, this experiment.

Bottling day here tomorrow, we have a jungle of scoby's! I'm experimenting with booch fruit roll-ups. Some really fantastic ideas here thank you so much. You've got really smooth vocals as well. Interestingly the Kombucha helps the collagen and our body move easily because we have bacteria 'on' and "in" every part of our body. Including all over our fascia and sinew.. Gosh, all of those little yeast and bacterial Rascals falling off our eyelids into our cuppa tea, it's not even horrifying anymore! 🤔🤣🤣 Many years ago when I was brewing our kombucha, it dawned on me that the egg probably came 1st. Life in our jars starts from just a few natural ingredients and a symbiotic of bacteria and yeast comes to life.. I kiss our kombucha jar😘 Fascinating and kind of makes it realistic, that our ancestors were correct when they said we came from clay.. ( if you've ever dug down a foot into Riverbank clay, you will know that it smells like death itself!)🧐🤣🤣 The life inside a jar of kombucha, has made me think about how life itself started..🤔🧐 I think I concluded that God is like a jar of Kombucha.👣💦🌿🐝

Love it! Thank you! 😊 💓 I was just diagnosed with SIBO & put on a low FODMAP diet. NO apples, sugar, etc. Do you have any recipes that are good for relieving SIBO or at least not make it worse? TIA 😘

Oh, thanks for reminding me. Probably put it in a small, lidded jar and don't refrigerate it. But, thinking about it, doest it matter if you aren't using it to grow something? I read that the good stuff dies, if too cold or too hot. I hope someone sees our plea for help, because I'm only guessing.
