Yeah, they were super close. I still remember exactly what I was doing when I found out kobe died. I was hungover walking to the Bodega a block away when my brother called me and told me. A homeless guy asked me what's wrong based on my reaction and when I told him, we both shed a tear and hugged it out. I don't get emotional about celebrity deaths, but kobe was a huge role model to me my whole life.

7:33 that's the part that pains me the most, he was doing an amazing job after basketball, it's what still chokes me up now, and all that Kobe was more or less going to do for women in sports, like he embodied what it meant to be a "girl dad".
