You can tell Jerry West was deeply affected internally by Kobe's passing. The man drafted an believed in him since he first laid eyes on him known him since he was 17 years old watched him grow an become the man an the player he became that definitely had to hurt his soul like he was his own child. Jerry thank you for believing in Kobe an drafting him so we can witness how great he became who knows where his career would of went if you didnt draft him. Thank you for drafting believing in my favorite basketball player ever. You will be remembered for alot of things you've done in your life an career, an Kobe will be one of them. 🙏

7:33 that's the part that pains me the most, he was doing an amazing job after basketball, it's what still chokes me up now, and all that Kobe was more or less going to do for women in sports, like he embodied what it meant to be a "girl dad". Now that isn't to say he didn't make mistakes, nor is it to say women can't do it without a man's help, but systemic things don't change for the better until those in the position of power (from a systemic viewpoint) don't just call for change, they demand it and take ownness of the issue *_even when it won't have much of an affect on their own circumstances_* RIP Kobe, Gigi and the Altobelli family
