You want the secret sauce? 2x consuming dark and chaos dot nodes My homebrew is Trickster for max def, immune to slow/stun and polymath, and spellsupress recharges es. atziris promise with evasion es, es, Also reserve lv 1 vitality on arrogancd fire 1 max allres Minmax polumath masteries Grab the evasion/es mastery, evasion mastery right across from eachother go around and down to get the other evasion with 1 max cold res and ares nodes, then go left for the movespeed evasion node and the allres nodes. Can also run esh's sheild+ghostwrithe for chaos innoc

I ran a Chaos hit version of the build a couple months back with 2x consuming dark (you can see my last video if curious) but I was doing Ubers with it on a 2div budget. I skipped the dot and went full hit scaling, I think the damage ended up being about 85% Chaos hit and 15% dot. I used the poison stacks to grant additional base crit. I’ll check out your suggestions too, thanks for the comment!

Thank you for the content. I followed your video guides for 3.21 and had a blast. First time getting all uber's down, had done most deathless by the time I finished up. I never quite got self-chill to work, had trouble balancing mana-cost with both ring slots occupied, but it did not matter. The crafting guides were S tier so would love more of those, crafted my scepters, ammy and a gg helm following them.

Looking forward to the updated build and like all your advice for crafting etc. Like some others have mentioned it would be great with a bit more early campaign advice. Like what affixes to look out for etc. I tried a run to 1st lab yesterday, snd agree that the fire trap setup is really good while running through zones, but I did feel a lacked dmg and survivability against bigger bosses and tanky essence mobs. So I would love to see a demo of the first 3 acts where you just go over the basics. Thanks so much for your time and content

Yep, will do. GGG pretty randomly nerfed explosive trap dmg in early acts only in 3.21, I’ll give a bit more advice for 3.22.

Planning on rushing through to eater/exarch with this in the first 12 hours. Think that might be impossible with the recent price hike of sun blast (Might have to get to red maps without one). I'm expecting it to be like 50c+ on leaguestart. Should I stay in low maps and farm up currency for sunblast and then continue on, or do you think we'll be able to kill eater/exarch without it?

I’m sure you could, though I haven’t tried and I’m trying real hard to finish editing this video or I’d go give it a go in Standard. If you don’t have a sunblast you’ll want to stack Trap Throwing Speed everywhere you can (belt/both weapons/maybe a normal jewel).

Build looks really cool and I wanna league start it, however I'm not a fan of the reduced mana cost flask shenanigan, it seems so clunky to me.. Are you planning to use the same tech this time ? If yes, how bad do you think it'd be to fix mana or make an EB version ? Also, except for the playstyle of traps vs mines, how does this build compare to Pyroclast Mines (let's say Lance's build for reference) ?

I haven't played pyroclast mines, so I can't compare them. I like traps over mines because its a one-button situation instead of a two-button, but to each his own. You don't need the reduced mana cost flask if you don't want it, it's just free dps when starting a fight. Explosive Trap has more than enough damage to carry without it, but it's hard to ignore an extra 35% or so damage (depending on where your gear is) for 10 seconds at the cost of two button presses before a boss phases in. Maybe the new Guardian Aura shenanigans I've seen will be better than the flask+divine blessing, but I don't want to recommend something I haven't yet tried. I'll probably still use the flask for free zealotry the first few days and see how the guardian blessing thing pans out. Not sure what you are asking about fixing mana, but I would not recommend going EB. Much of the defensive layers in the build rely on Trickster interactions with ES. Giving up most of your defenses for mana comfort is probably not a recipe for success. You can always grab an enduring mana flask if the gearing feels awkward. Also, self-chill + lightning warp is absurdly fast. I can boss rush faster than with a mageblood on using it.

Yea i tried the endgame version of the build and inc effect mana cost flask feels bad. Somehow managed to drop inc effect and instead apply use when charges reach full enchant but this way you can not consistently generate inspiration charges since your skills dont cost mana. Unless there is an other way to use blessing aura dont know if im gonna league start this

​@@jihyothegod2628One more thought on that -- if you remove Inspiration from FR, does it cost mana still with your flask setup using When Charges Reach Full? You can generate inspiration charges from multiple sources, and they all apply damage to supported skills even if ET doesn't end up costing anything. I don't know how you have it set up so I can't check.

You could go CI. I’d need to tinker in PoB to see how high an ES pool you could get, but should be doable. The main bummer is that CI builds usually want some type of leech for sustain and traps can’t provide it. I’m sure it could be worked around though.

@@totsyt12 there are other things you could do too -- my guess is (like other leagues) there will be a way to acquire keystones as tattoos. If so, you could grab Divine Shield / Wicked Ward / etc, or maybe stack life regen using FF jewels + timeless jewels + other sources + and grab Zealot's Oath? Skin of the Lords might be an option too depending on your budget there.

It’s a trap build, as is the explode totem. They’ll probably feel somewhat similar, though totems were so OP that they got a nerf on the way to Standard which is super rare.

I've only ever recorded segments of my campaign runs. I'm no speed runner, I usually get it done in the 5hr range and enjoy league start on group voice chat with my friends/guild. If you are looking for tips on how to speed run campaign there are several videos explaining how to perfect the leap slam / frostblink movement combo and various other tricks they use to rush maps. Tytykiller is an amazing resource for this.

I posted a comment earlier that got deleted. I think it was because I had my pob link in it. Anyways: I was really hyped for this build as I love invitation farming. I did a leveling run (went smoothly as expected) and after that simulated league starter gear. I do not know why, but the boss damage was really bad. I know something is wrong on my end, but I am not sure what. Comparing my pob to yours showed similar damage and throwing speed (I did miss the cluster setup however), but the damge was really bad (like needing a minute+ to kill a T16). I watched your vid on overthrowing and saw you mention the throwing pattern in your previous build guide, but it still was really mediocre. Any idea what it could be?

I am sure you covered this somewhere, but this is so much content I am afraid to ask: Wheres the main difference between MB/non MB setup (why can you drop sunblast) and if you are running sunblast, is there a way to drop the enkindling orb on the flask and just use an instilling one? Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. I’m going to try and do a better job with the complete 3.22 guide to have all content in one place. The primary difference between MB/Sunblast is that MB frees all pressure for mana costs/res and provides some extra speed and defenses. Sunblast is STILL more dps, but requires a bit more fiddling to get things like Chaos res (and other) right. For the Enkindling/instilling question, you probably could do that with enough investment in reduced mana costs but I haven’t personally done the math on it.

It's a one-button build for mapping, and I usually hit Zealotry (which lasts for ~10-12s, more than most Ubers) once before boss fight starts. There is a delay between the traps going off as they need a brief duration to arm themselves (0.5s without Sunblast, 1.0-2.0s with Sunblast). My playstyle for mapping you can see in the 100% deli clip in this video where I move past a set of traps with lightning warp then let my loot filter tell me if anything good drops. Hold down trap button (R in my case) for a second to lay down 18-20 traps, move, rinse repeat.

Used a Kintsugi instead, went extremely well. Another couple options are Cospri’s Will (or really any high Evasion base) or Lightning Coil. You want to find one corrupted with +2 AoE or Trap/Mine gems to get the same effect as a skin of the lords

@@superking___ Call to Arms made it zero time to cast Enduring Cry so I kept it on left click. In 3.21 and 3.20 there were alternate ways to get Call to Arms (crucible tree + relics) so there is a reasonable chance it will be around as a tattoo or something, but more importantly Enduring Cry isn't 100% necessary. I would instead recommend getting an Enduring Composure small cluster jewel which is very easy to roll to generate endurance charges. They're something like 50 alterations to roll by hand. The small bit of life regen you need to offset the FR hits you can get in many places. In 3.21 league start I used Rot Resistant plus a life regen roll on a pair of boots.

Hard to say clearly without some testing but losing prefixes to ramp weapon damage is a big dps loss as 4 of your gem levels come from weapon prefixes. I’d be surprised if you could just swap it in directly and it be a damage increase but honestly I haven’t had time to properly tinker with it as I’ve been out of town for several days

Personally I love Heartstopper as a defensive layer but there is nothing wrong with grabbing Swift Killer and the extra charge duration/charges. It’s very strong offensively. I’ve used both at various points as I’ve moved through different bossing content and needs shifted.

Hey, its my first time playing a trapper, wonder, since there is a new notable in expedition, the Extreme Archelogy, can i swap gems to convert my elemental damage? from what i have seen the trap is 50% phys and 50% fire, can i convert the phys to lightning with the support gem?

Sure, you can convert the phys to lightning instead of cold. The easiest way would be through gloves, but you’d probably want to rework the entire build because it’s based around cold damage / brittle.

Hard to tell if it will apply to Guardians too. Seems like it will apply to Shaper Guardians for sure. I’m glad they are bringing back some of the invitation bonus boss nodes from pre-3.21, and I hope it affects Elder Guardians. I’ll definitely be using it if so. Looking forward to some testing!

there's nothing wrong with the consuming dark build I did in 3.21, and it's certainly viable. I went cold/fire instead of chaos because things like wither stacks are important to chaos dps uptime, and caring about totems is quite annoying in PoE. You could still do it, and I'm not sure what I'm doing yet for 3.23, but I'd need to spend some time league start testing.

I think if I had items for both, I'd go cold/fire just because of totems and variable dps due to wither. It's a one button play style that way and I have to think about very little. It's also a bit trickier to crit cap using chaos, which the FF jewels helped out with (and I imagine you don't have them in SSF). I'd need to sit down and think through the PoB changes if I wanted to SSF the chaos version, I'll see if I can do some brainstorming this weekend for you@@danteafkCamelotUnchained
