Bell's damage is only converted when it's on the field and has been hit with an elemental ailment so the tooltip is only going to show you pure phys bell. One element is 60% and if it ends up with a second it's 100% converted to elemental. What you want to use instead of Heavy Swing is Heft which raises the Maximum Physical Damage by 30% and applies before conversion.

When you swap to crit, if you have enough spirit you can use cast on crit eye of winter with chain support, it will hit the bell and chain on the boss applying critical weakness. Also the bell will crit and proc the cast on crit again, creating a feedback loop until it runs out of hits. This cost a lot of mana, which can be fixed using mana leech with physical attack damage, but i think you cant apply more than one ailment on the bell, it has 60% conversion per elemental ailment affecting it, so if you convert 100% you dont leech. I'm only freezing the bell and the leech works with the 40% remaining physical dmg. I spec in one energy cluster on the passive tree for more energy and it also gives 40 increased damage if you trigger recently and the trigger rate feels good with that alone (you can add the impetus support gem if you feel like you need a little more, no need for the ascensancy node).

@JohnB-ws4ge yup, very often for rares and uniques, i can pop the entire bell in 1 second against uniques (if they survive). For magic and normal is not often which is a good thing because you dont want to waste mana on trash mobs that die to herald of ice anyway.

I've been crit since the campaign, has been blasting the whole way through. Another good anoint is the +1 charm notable in the bottom right. It's 3 of the 4th tier of delirium thingy so easy to get in T6-8 maps.

I've been playing an ice strike monk since the start. It is funny, I recently switched to CI too and I think it is very strong. Even with the nerfs to chaos damage it is still everywhere. Currently sitting at 7k ES + 13k Evasion (with the phys reduction node). Feels very tanky, and I am running an unset ring so I could fit in grim feast. Have ~14k ES while mapping makes you feel like a god. My weapon is pretty decent, higher damage but lower crit chance (though I did get some crit bonus). Hoping to save up for a fat upgrade to it.

The bell shockwaves don't have conversion. they just get "extra" damage as an element form ignite/chill/shock.

Pin support gem says it does NOT support Wind Dancer. Is that a bug or does it not work with it? Same for Maim. Also, if you go crit do you plan to use Charge Infusion persistent buff skill? And how do you know when its "time" to go crit?

Looks like a damn smooth build, I'm level 85 with a Titan, blasting T15 but it feels a little clunky... I'm going to dump all currency into this build. One question though, what do you mean by "auto"? I don't see anything on your skill bar other than your normal abilities? Need some help ppl. I’m lvl 68 galv shards WH on Xbox . I have used all my gold and currency in t1-t2 maps trying to get a better xbow. Really just higher dmg rolls, and can’t. Same with gear and resists. Barely enough of drops are useful and end up crafting with bad stats. It’s to the point where I’m win/fail maps 40/60. Not enough currency drops to use. Any tips.

Only hits that hit you hp can inflict a bleed so ci is immune to bleed as they have 1 hp + es.
