+2ndviolinist A bit overly dramatic? She should've gotten Vincent Price to read them. He has more range in his dramatic reading. Interesting bit of poetic history. Thank you Doug.

+2ndviolinist No I don't agree..but we are no longer used to hearing readings that are spoken in the heart of the music of the words...I would have noone but Dylan Thomas read his own poems that dance on consonants and the vowels' rising tides..she reads in this tradition, not in the post 1960's "pretend that all stagecraft is an imitation of what you hear waiting for the subway on 14th street"...which has its place, but is not the place for all reading to take place in. In any case, thank you, again, for the treasures...
