Poetic travel film ( Roll the dice - Charles Bukowski )

The poem that inspired me to go on a long solitude backpacking journey across India. And this is my adaption of the poem into a short film to inspire otherwise like it did to me, not just to travel but also anyone who faces any hardships in life.

I didn't know there was a name for this but I wondered how I can show ppl the world, while conveying a message and mood through color visuals and poetry. Hey Simon, not sure if you're reading this, but just wanted to let you know how beautiful this thing that you have created is. And how it clearly speaks to us travellers and storytellers, as a medium. I'm a travel writer who feels the primal passion described by Bukowski everytime I travel, and I'm also a millenial tired of seeing beautiful sunrises set to the same 10 reel songs on my feed. This is the halfway. I just don't know if the Internet is ready for it. Well, so be it. The fact that I've actively looked for this video to cheer me up on glum days says something about resonance, doesn't it? Keep creating.

Thank you. Yes most of them can. But when you go to off the map places its different in each state. But you can get along well just with english too.

Thank you. The water fall is in North East India in a place called Cheerapunji, Meghalaya and the boat is in Kashmir in the North.

Aweosom video man .... May i know how did you do color grading ? I liked that tone very much. Did you use any lut or did manually .

Thanks Manoj :) I colour gadded manually, I didn't know luts existed back in 2015 haha, it would have saved a lot of time. I use luts now as a base colour but still grade each clip manually to get my desired look.

@@manojvishwakarma8480 I was in a small car in the North East and the guy was driving like a maniac through the most thickest fog, that's why it was so shaky and I shot that with an iPhone 5s at 25fps.

Hi Ashwini, It cost me around 2 lakhs with the people of some amazing people who let me stay in their houses, which was the only way I could say majority of my budget. :)
