How did he even survive in prison? I haven't had so much as a speeding ticket in 20yrs & I'd have had a 'problem' with him immediately. Imagine you make it through medical school, you help, you heal, you serve your community, you're given the title "doctor", which to thinking people is a far more respectful title than 'reverend'. I do applaud Mr Dawkins for allowing the "cultist without a cult" Bray to expose the lunacy & cowardice of his efforts. If Bray was actually paid for this, however, I take that back. To see a grown man try to explain how he knows the nature & origin of the universe where true genius doesn't, and the laughably childish fantasy world he's trying desperately to believe - I'm actually relieved that the proceeding generations simply won't put up with this - not just Bray's sick fantasy, but they're far better informed, and less susceptible to gullibility. Bray will have his moment, no matter how much of himself he throws into his "it's true 'cause the bible says so" attitude. As a thinking adult, everyone eventually comes to that crossroads. Deep down, they know it's not true. No matter how much they want it to be, no matter how lost they might feel as they initially cope with the reality. I hope they're given leniency as they 'transition' to non-believers & see the positive side of it all. How *should* people respond to an utter silence that is deaf to our every dose of pain for what, 300k years? How is it that we call someone who wouldn't dare say his name, "god"? In our species' entire history, this entity has not once made a single sound. God is a 'he', he loves us, and the punishment for not loving him back is eternal fire. Watch the christian expression when they describe 'hell'. The revel in its torments. We are to deny our intellects, pretend he's there, believe those are his words in the bible/on stone tablets, punish 'sinners' accordingly. The 'virgin' thing is what first got me to look at smarter scenarios. Jesus had a father & mother. They had a baby. If you don't believe that he was conceived naturally, I do hope you find comfort in this - but I do not.
