The Minister is unarmed at an intellectual level to discuss any matters of religion. Brainwashed and lacking a true moral compass, the perfect “tool” to go forth and unquestionably preach a fairytale to the masses with the message that God loves you so much that he will send you to a smelly place if you don’t believe in him. Rather reptilian behaviour with constant licking of lips.

On being thankful, I can envision a man at the dinner table thanking god for all his vittles while not realizing that he got up at 4:00 in the morning and went to work and slaved all day to buy a sumptuous meal for himself and he's thanking a god ? Jeez, man ! Thank yourself !!

The fact that he said the life and eternal damnation can be based off of simple choices. Shows that even he realizes you can end up in hell off of something simple.

Jordan says, "I know the truth, but it doesn't fit my narrative, so let's reassess the truth so we can disregard the question because myths are much easier to manipulate for my purposes." He's an intelligent modern-day charlatan. PS He didn't say it out aloud.

How come Judaism that is the mother of both Christianity and Islam keeps being left out from the list by you both? It is a question of cultural relativism. All religions have cultural perspectives. To be considerate of religious perspective is to be considerate of cultural perspectives. In Christian Africa cinemas were set on fire when the Last Temptation of Christ" was released in cinema not counting the more religious minorities in every country. If you don't have cultural consideration, you destroy the cross-cultural dialogue that leads to polarization and violent clashes. Is there any difference between religious was the came about as the result competing perspectives of Martin Luther and Catholics with one between the "atheists" and none-atheist? The reality is that cultural influences are far more influential than philosophical or scientific conversations in people's lives. Yes, it is inconvenient and can be abused to excuse genocide, but I am not sure if lack of tolerance would be a preventative measure. Besides, tolerance is always inconvenient in all aspects of life exemplified universally marriage. First you need to break the bond between culture and belief systems before you can speak freely and critically of religious issues. Maybe, distinguishing and admitting the core of the dilemma is the first step. A second step is resist fanaticism within our belief system and there I am talking Darwinism. Denying its deficiencies and dangers of its fanaticism is just as dangerous as any belief system in a Sky god. This is why I think Richard Dawkins is a fanatic.

Sorry, but I already feel that American citizens are mis-categorized! I am a gun toting, right-wing conservative, yet I am also VERY sensitive to scientific concerns. So, I get pissed off when you pointy heads mis-represent me! I am an agnostic atheist, that wants what is best for my country. So Please, don't assume that all atheist or leftist! Leave your political arguments out of scientific discussion, thanks. @Richard Dawkins, I am a HUGE fan or your work. I have read most of your books, and I completely agree with most of what you say, but I am NOT a liberal! That political leaning has nothing to do with left wing politics! So stop attacking people based on politics!

Almost none of their central doctrines really come from the Bible. This “personal relationship” belief included. They read narratives about Jesus being close to his apostles and put themselves in that position. Out pops this doctrine.

If God has a destiny for someone and they were born a Christian, pursuing their path with purpose, it raises an important question about free will. It seems that God has a plan, guiding choices and actions. Perhaps, in this sense, free will is about embracing the journey we are on, influenced by a higher purpose.

I found the discussion quite uninteresting. Probably because the discussion just talked around the claims that one would expect from a serious exchange on the topic. That’s probably, I think due to the person being interviewed. It’s not one would expect or welcome. It’s like the person being interviewed is shy to state his views on religion quite frankly.
