“Carnival of Rust” was the first single and the title of the second studio album recorded by the Finnish rock group Poets of the Fall. It went straight to number one on Billboard in Finland. The Genelec Artist Room recording is performed 10 years after the release of that album, so it’s a kind of 10th anniversary version. Great song and a great version - Enjoy it!

This is better than the studio version. I mean it’s not even close. All the little dynamic changes they’ve refined over the years make this mesmerizing. Such a great song.

I discovered this band at the time the game Max Payne (the fall of) was released in 2003. There was nothing like iTunes or whatever like to download the title track (Late Goodbye) which I liked the same moment I listened to it. It was kinda magic and in the end, I was able to get it directly from the DVD game. Since that time I have never stopped listening to their music. Great band and one of the most underrated ever in music history. I'll be in Milan in march 2019 to see them live. Keep on guys, I love your music!

His voice is that of an angel. It directly touches my very soul...my essence. I've been listening to the music of POTF since Late Goodbye....NOBODY and I mean nobody can compare to the music or the profound heartfelt soul touching lyrics of this band. I'm an addict 15 months in the recovery now and I met this girl we headed off really well first person I've been with since my divorce back in 2018.. figured I'd give it a chance.. I introduced her to the music of Poets of the fall. She fell in love with an immediately and I'm not one for singing in front of people.. I have a bit of stage fright.. but this girl was so much different I sang to her every night and it was always something off the Alexander theater Sessions album and I mean I would practice and practice until I could get as close as I possibly could to the tone.. and given the life that she had I picked very select songs and long story short.. I would bring that girl to tears if they would be happy tears. She's gone now. and it's not just the loss of the girl it's the snowball effect that immediately ensued catapulting my life into yet another transitional. And I'm listening to more of their music now and it just seems as though.. and I know that people have a tendency to take music and metaphorically make it their own.. but that's not the case.. those lyrics for the most part are heading home quite literally with a lot that's going on.. and a couple months has gone by and I started listening to that Alexander theater Sessions album again and I don't know their music allows one to purge their very soul. And that's what I've been doing. Ever since late goodbye came out back and I think it was 2003 I've been in all at their music. No matter what life throws at myself or anybody.. the music is always there the lyrics are always there.. I can't imagine this world without the music of Poets of the Fall I really can't it would be such a dark place. The music they have.. it allows that pain to just surface and be purged it might take a while.. but God damn.. they are truly a godsend on humanity. I cannot be thankful enough I am humbled. Gracefully humbled. I introduced their music to everybody that I'm friends with some people like it some people don't and it is what it is.. but those that begin listening to it usually will tell me about some kind of enlightening experience that they've had within themselves a realization of sorts.. of some sort.. almost every single time. Again I am humbled. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.. I don't know where I'd be these days without all of their music collaboratively. Their music has been a substantial tool in me saving my own life. Thank you. 🙏🔥🙏

"Carnival Of Rust" D' you breathe the name of your saviour in your hour of need, And taste the blame if the flavor should remind you of greed? Of implication, insinuation and ill will, 'til you cannot lie still, In all this turmoil, before red cape and foil come closing in for a kill Come feed the rain 'cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust Yeah, feed the rain 'cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust It's all a game, avoiding failure, when true colors will bleed All in the name of misbehavior and the things we don't need I lust for after no disaster can touch, touch us anymore And more than ever, I hope to never fall, where enough is not the same it was before Come feed the rain... 'cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust Yeah, feed the rain 'cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust Yeah, feed the rain 'cause I'm thirsty for your love dancing underneath the skies of lust Yeah, feed the rain 'cause without your love my life ain't nothing but this carnival of rust Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the world is burning Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the heart is yearning Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the world is burning Don't walk away, don't walk away, oh, when the heart is yearning 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

These guys are by far one of the best bands I ever heard of....I am American and the closest we have anyone who can pull off a voice similar to Marko is David Draiman from Disturbed...They music is intoxicating and the voice is powerful force that resonates in the soul, I get chills and goosebumps hearing this song each time...I love this band .. I am huge Takida fan so them Swedish and Finnish bands are very popular in the states...So is the band HIM...Poets of the Fall is rare gem to anyone who discovers them... I have to say they are unique and originality that one can admire and what makes them so special :)
