Every time I listen to this song (which is every time =D ). Its like hearing it on top of a mountain cold and misty and maybe rainy, Marko singing it from a far, the intro is the wanderlust calling of the song. Magical and mesmerizing.

This album is the story of the fall of Jeremiah Peacekeeper - a good person who is destroyed by love, turns into a violent psychotic bastard, and ends up turning into Hamartia (the jester). Yes. You see PotF's catalogue is all one (looped) story.

How about the other albums like Twilight Theatre, Jealous Gods and Revolution Roulette? Are they connected?
@chiffmonkey8 жыл бұрын
All 7 albums (yes Clearview included judging by Drama for Life, Marko's comments and some of the track names), plus the tracks No End, No Beginning, Can You Hear Me? and Signs of Life (not to be confused with the album). Carnival of Rust is your best starting point for working out the links: "When the world is burning, don't walk away" - that's Daze. "Where enough is not the same it was before" - that's More. (Vid) "Break for Freedom" - that's Revolution Roulette. (Vid) "House of Dusk" - that's Twilight Theater. (Vid & Cover) Red and White swirl - that's the looped duality between Jeremiah Peacekeeper and Hamartia, see Alchemy Vol 1 cover. (Vid) Pause about 0:25. Then open Choice Millionaire in another tab and pause about 3:14. Note that the woman in Choice Millionaire just removed a gas mask. The Hopecatcher description on the PotF Webshop says "In the music video the necklace represents a tiny piece of a parallel universe, which makes you think of the possibility of a better world." Now open Cradled in Love and skip to about 3:18. She puts the necklace on and suddenly Jeremiah is in the room with her.

I'm glad this album goes back to their roots a bit more. I loved Twilight Theatre, but the classics are the best.

It's funny.... his voice sometimes reminds me of that of Martin Gore from Depeche Mode (not the main vocalist, but the other one)... only sometimes. Btw, this is a compliment, as I really love that voice :)

Indonesia heard this song, POTF The Best Band Ever
@Navadae12 жыл бұрын
So almost every time a band I really like makes a new album, it just gets worse and worse, so I was worried-yet-excited when I heard PotF had a new album out. Of course my worries were ungrounded, Poets could never make a bad album, every single time, almost every song (hey, any band, some songs wont be a hit for everyone) is just outright... amazing.

this song uses a very similar chord progression to Seal's Crazy.
