@@AC-mp7cx His death was oddly poetic on a very superficial level. One of my favorite songs about loss from a very underrated album of his is titled "Sometimes it Snows in April." He also died in an elevator so I think we can all trust that he "punched a higher floor." But I think Ros means he never sold out. He made the music industry do what it took to do business with him instead of changing his musical vision to what they wanted it to be.

I had the good fortune of seeing prince in concert three times, and I have to tell you… There is no other entertainer like him… Never lip-synching, rarely took a break, and sounded phenomenal. He did get a bit arrogant as he was known to cancel shows at the last minute, but was he in original superstar? He sure was, and his legacy will live forever more.

To get to the level he was at, being in the spotlight, pushing the envelope, breaking boundaries etc, you need to have an ego. You can't do that stuff at the highest level without supreme self confidence and a little bit of arrogance - especially as you're going to encounter people who'll try to control you and drag you down.

Prince is a beautiful soul having a profound human experience that he shared with us all through his incredible music. Like all of us, I'm sure he was complex and had ego and fear and darkness that he struggled with. But it's clear here that he understands that and sought to be more than an ego driven music star. He shares so beautifully what's truly important, and that's love in its simplicity and gratitude to others in his life and God for his life. In the end, we all just want to be loved and appreciated and free to express ourselves. He was a beautiful teacher of that journey, and he left the heart of that journey with us in his music. The world was much better having had Prince in it, and I'm glad that I was young in the 80s and got to experience his musical journey and dance my butt off to his incredible songs. Thank you, Prince. We love you. 💞

So we all await seeing him in that new world where all things are perfect and there is a new heaven and new earth that was promised by the God he and we serve, a perfect God Jehovah, and His Son, Jesus Christ.

I was on the tube(watching television) just the other day and I saw a commercial about this years Grammy Awards to be televised soon. Then I thought to myself…”really, what kind of Grammy awards show will this be? There’s no more great or REAL talent out there in the music business anymore, just a bunch of cookie cutter rehash”. As far as I’m concerned, when Michael, Whitney and Prince passed, so did REAL raw musical creation and singing talent. The American Music Awards and The Grammys died along with them, because there aren’t hardly anymore true innovative musical artist out there. Stevie Wonder perhaps. Madonna has lost her mind along with her self identity. I will probably never be inspired nor will I ever be excited about watching an upcoming Grammy awards show again. Thank you Prince, Michael and Whitney for making those televised live events historical and worth while to be exciting to watch.

I relate so much to what he says. What strikes me is that at this time in history, in his position, this was revolutionary thinking. It still is, but with the internet there are more networks and arguably more opportunities to find and nurture this understanding, at least intellectually. I doubt I would’ve had this understanding in that era.
