Please do! I haven't worked with much d&b gear, but would love to hear your findings. It's mostly L-Acoustics, JBL, and RCF in my neck of the woods.

As far as d&b Arraycalc goes: You put in your listeningplane and then you can apply autosplay. But what does autosplay actually do? It angles the elements so, that the on axis points of the cabinets are evenly spread across the listening plane. Thats all it does. Next to the button it says: this might not be the optimal solution, manual adjustment is needed. So its just there to point everything in kind of the right direction. Anything else you have to do by yourself. I also tend to overshoot because it really helps to get even spl distribution. And acutally its not that different from pointing a horn speaker. There you point the on axis also nearly on the last row. So that is that. If you are using arrayprocessing for that matter, it might help to put a vertical ghost plane behind the actual listeningplane so the optimizer does not ignore those top boxes. But i think they are working on a solution to that workaround already.

I'm looking forward to the update where they include a variable amount of overshoot. And yes, overshooting really does help with even SPL distribution and also helps steer the low-mid beam more upwards (if the system does not have any low mid beam steering mechanism like AP or LMBC).

I haven't, but it looks pretty similar in functionality to the JBL VRX932LAP, a constant curvature array. These are a bit of a different beast than a variable curvature line array. I have a video that walks through how I deploy constant curvature arrays: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZrUnWeDrpl9rbM
