I always had a theory that the Gerudo people descended from Groose. The red hair like Ganondorf, the broad, tall stature typical of Gerudo in BotW, the way he names everything after himself. Same sort of confidence too. I mean, Link and Zelda get reincarnations and decedents and Groose makes a conscious decision to be part of the story, so I like to imagine he lives on too in some way. SS lore throws a bit of a wrench in that but it's still pretty neat if you ask me :)

+Indigo It's not just a theory. Nintendo PURPOSELY shows Groose to show the origins of the Gerudo people. Groose has darker skin, yellow eyes, red hair, tall height, strong build, a proud haughty attitude, & great vanity. The Gerudo have darker skin, yellow eyes (or green which is yellow + blue), red hair, tall heights, strong builds, proud haughty attitudes, & great vanity. There is no one else in Skyloft with Groose's traits quite like that. Think about it. The Legend of Zelda series mainly has Link as the Protagonist, Zelda as the Deuteragonist, & Ganon as the Antagonist with Impa as an optional Assistant or Guide. That's the main 4 characters of the very first game. In Skyward Sword you see that same configuration except with Groose in the initial Antagonist role. At the end of the game you see Link, Zelda, & Groose with Impa making that 4 character combo. But why is Groose in there if he's supposed to a be comic relief side character? Why is he so prominent? Groose obviously is a 'What If Ganon was good?' interpretation. But Nintendo went further than just that reference. They used Groose to set so much of the lore seen in the rest of the series. Groose's pal Strich is a bug expert & he knows of the Gerudo Dragonfly. Groose & his cronies Strich & Cawlin are all headed WEST at the end of Skyward Sword. The Goddess Statue at the Temple of Hylia faces NORTH & they all go to the LEFT which is WEST. What's in the West? The Lanayru Desert which is obviously the future Gerudo Desert. Since Groose can't get the girl (Zelda), he leaves Link & Zelda to make his Grooseland on the surface. This is why the Gerudo are so culturally distinct & don't worship Hylia even when friendly in Breath of the Wild. The Lanayru Desert has industrialization & those Timeshift Stones. It's a much more exciting region to explore. Studying the properties of those Timeshift Gems is probably how the Gerudo became masters of gem elemental usage as seen in Twinrova, Ganondorf, & the Gerudo Jewelers of Breath of the Wild. Grooseland at some point became Gerudo & the people named themselves after the dragonfly of the desert. AND Nintendo made sure to make a strong Groose & Impa connection (Groose & his "Grannie") foretelling hidden lore about the deep connection between the Gerudo & the Sheikah. A connection which is at the root of the Interloper War as well as the Hyrulean Civil War. The Fused Shadow has the Sheikah Eye on the back of it & I believe one source of that war's cause was for the Gerudo's sake after the Timeshift Stones stopped working & they were stuck only in desert not grassland. The Hylians wanted to play keep away & that's what led to the scramble for the Triforce that led to the Twili. The Sheikah were divided between their loyalty to Hylia's mortal bloodline as well as the Gerudo who come from Groose, one of the heroes in the battle against Demise. The Sheikah splitting often is confirmed by the Yiga. How do you think Twinrova & thus Ganondorf knew about the secrets of the Sacred Realm which were kept secret by the Royal Family & their Sheikah attendants? Other Sheikah told them, that's why! That's why the Sheikah were decimated in the Civil War. Loyalists vs. Rebels & lots of death for treason. That's why the Shadow Temple talks about Hyrule's history of greed & blood. The Gerudo were neglected in that desert by the Hylians, grew resentment, & created an extremist in Ganondorf. Ganondorf became the perfect vessel for Demise's curse to take root. All of what started as a Love Triangle became this Triangle of eternally linked characters. Groose's Japanese name is Bado. Groose's Italian name is Vilán. Bad Villain. This was done on purpose. Ganondorf's story has much more tragic impact once we know he descends from Groose the bully turned ally.

@@white_vargr1999 Thank you so much! I wanted to break it all down because Nintendo was purposeful in linking Groose to the origin of the Gerudo people. Not just that but foreshadowing the Sheikah-Gerudo alliance that's secretly at the root of so much havoc in Hyrule's history. That particular remains to be fully told but we might get a clue through the Zonai in Tears of the Kingdom. So much lore hidden in that old desert, you wouldn't believe!

so i saw a video that explained there was a Demon Tribe and God Tribe in japanese. The Bringer of Demise is GANONs title, if it is Ganon, but its name i not Demise. Ghirahim in Japanese says hes the current chief of the tribe. Its pretty interesting! And makes all the demons not just enteties of Ganon but actual individuals. The Demon King just wants the world to belong to the demons.

you know the story is amazing and all and this really is my favorite zelda game now but i'm still confused on a part of this story. the story is we are following zelda in hopes of saving her and at the sealed temple during our first visit we can see the amber zelda is in, but how is the amber with her in it there if the events didn't happen yet? because we see her go into that state but what it being there implies is that it already happened
